No. It hasn't been released yet by IK Multimedia. It's expected later this month. Check your USER AREA on the IK website.SGH wrote:I was able to download Amplitube2, Hendrix, and AmpegSVX but I havn't been able to figure out where/how to get X-Gear and the RAW Style Packs. Are they available yet?

no and yes.
X-gear is due out soon.
Choose which RAW pack you want and email allen AT esoundz DOT com with the title you've chosen. He will put it into your downloads area on e-soundz.

Registered, downloaded, installed and authorized UNO and then AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix. I then received the PLUG & MIX MADNESS promotion email and selected Amplitube II as my bonus product. However, I did not receive a serial number with the email, nor after selecting my free download. Neither the UNO nor JH serial numbers are accepted in the Amplitube II authorization process.
What am I missing here?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,

Downloaded and Installed X-Gear today and wanted to thank the folks at Sonic Reality again for putting this together. Great value for what IMO is a fantastic package of tools and a great price.
I spent WAY too much time on this today, but needed to post here to underline the aspect of the X-Gear product that I find most valuable: real-time MIDI control of the Amplitube products. I'm still at the proof-of-concept stage in setting this up (I'm using REAPER as VST host) but I'm definitely able to adjust parameters of Amplitube using my trusty Behringer FCB1010. The wah in Amplitube Jimi Hendrix is sweet and control of the wah and master volume is smooth with no 'zipper' artifacts.
I'm sure the new IK footcontroller is a monster, but I wasn't prepared to shell out the big $$ and also want to control several other soft-synths from a single pedalboard.
Anyway it appears to work and I'm really excited at the possibilities...

dash... sent you an email, but I figured I'd post, too. Any chance you could give a fcb1010 tutorial for x-gear. I'm brand new to the midi foot pedal world....
I want to use it with x-gear and ableton at the same time.
Thanks!

Not a tutorial but here's what I discovered yesterday trying to get the FCB1010 working with Amplitube II and Amplitube Jimi Hendrix...
As I mentioned in my note, I presume you have downloaded your free copy of X-Gear or purchased it from IK. AFAIK Amplitube II does not respond to MIDI by itself.
For 'standalone mode', the X-Gear MIDI input panel is pretty straightforward. You select one of 16 parameters (Preset Next, Preset Previous, Stomp A (1-6) Stomp B (1-6), Volume and Wah) and use the 'MIDI Learn' capability to capture the CC message sent from the FCB1010.
I also had some difficulty understanding the FCB1010. I recommend installing the RIPWERX FCB1010 editor - it's a java application that's a free download from the files area of the Yahoo group called 'fcb1010'. It has a great user guide section and the GUI itself really helped me understand what was going on.
The main thing I discovered my first stab at using the FCB1010 with X-Gear and Amplitube in standalone mode is that you should set the FCB1010 to send your Continuous Controller messages on channel 1 (the default) because X-Gear evidently ignores the other channels.
The Ripwerx editor was very helpful in my case because it includes the 'MIDI Watch Window' tool that allow you to see exactly which messages you're sending from each button and from the two rocker pedals. It took me a while to figure out what was going on because I'm trying to control multiple devices, and my FCB1010 is set to send most of my CC messages on a different MIDI channel.
I'm a newbie at VST automation, but controlling Amplitube as a VST with a footcontroller rather than a knob-oriented control surface appears to be WAY more complicated, and I don't have it all working. You first set up Param1 - Param16 in the X-Gear Automation section, and then set up the CC messages you want to use control those parameters from your VST host software. As I mentioned in my post, I'm using REAPER. A plug for REAPER (www.cockos.com) - it seems to do everything I used to do in Cakewalk Sonar and costs only $50 US when you decide to license it.
Hope this is enough to get you started...

Slightly OT: I would recommend learning to program the fcb1010 by itself If you are in a constant gigging and rehearsal situation. I've had to fix program, cc and midi channels a few times @ shows because of strange midi problems in my rig. Tapping a few times on the pedals allowed me to do this discretely. It becomes faster and easier than with an editor once you get your head around the OS.

I got a pleasant surprise from IK. I was checking for updates and noticed an X-Gear in my download area. So I look in my authorizations area and there's a serial number for it. Since I already owned SVX, Amplitube 2, and Amplitude J.H. I didn't join the group buy. Apparently I didn't have to purchase it separately.
I didn't get a heads up email, it was just there.
Sweet!

okay... so now I'm just getting frustrated. I can't get x-gear (stand-alone) to recognize signal from my midi pedal. I know I have it hooked up correctly through an interface... Ableton communicates fine...
When I click the midi tab and the dialogue opens... I click learn and push pedals all day... Nothing happens.
I don't know much about the fcb1010 or "Midi CC" at all. I'm the type of person that learns better through experience.
Could someone just take me through how to setup this pedal so that it's sending the right thing.
Do I send a midi note? do I send a Prog Chg? Do I send cnt 1 or 2... whatever that means.
I know you guys don't want to explain rudimentary MIDI to me, but I've looked everywhere and can't find anything that helps me understand the communication of MY particular pedal so that I can understand it. I looks like Ableton just wants me to send "Midi notes" but this does not work with X-gear.
Could someone show me how to do 1 preset. I'm sure I could take it from there.
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
EDITED TO ADD: When I try to go to the yahoo group for fcb1010 there is no link in the files section for "ripwerx". I found the site for ripwerx but it's installation instructions do not work on my mac like they say they will. God doesn't want this pedal to work for me.
