Hi
I don't know if this question has been asked, but I could not find it. Sorry if I am blind, but please bear with me.
I got my shiny new Amplitube 2 + JH + X-Gear in the group buy. Pretty awesome stuff and I am having all this fun sounding like Jimi Hendrix.
Just one problem. I have all my fun playing the nicest solo and then when the verse starts, the next nice preset for "Rhythm...." is all there waiting for me, but it just do not want to load by itself when the verse starts. OK, I don't really expect it to. I do not have Stomp, but I still want to be able to change presets without having to fumble around with the mouse.
I am looking for a way to program the presets to my MIDI keyboard controler. Eg. it must load preset "Rhythm ......" when I hit key C1 on the keyboard and preset "Solo ..........." when I hit the D1 key etc etc. I would be able to change presets pretty smoothly this way.
Changing Amplitube 2 presets with MIDI controler?

You will be able to change presets from midi with X-Gear... although a Stomp IO is definitely the best way to go IMO.

Thanks for the reply Squids. The X gear only allows one to map to a CC, not to a key number (note).Squids wrote:You will be able to change presets from midi with X-Gear... although a Stomp IO is definitely the best way to go IMO.
Maybe I am doing it wrong, but the problem with X-gear's mapping to a CC is that it is not very easy to accurately select the next preset. I tried it by mapping the next preset and previous preset to CC knobs on my controler. When I tried to change preset it flew all the way from preset 1 to preset i-am-not sure-but-it-must-have-been about preset number 100 with the tiniest movement of the knob. If there is a better way, please tell me how to do it.
