A question about loading Combi Presets

Is there a way to load a combi preset into a different slot or does it always default to how the combi was saved?

I use a lot of combis, but they all load into the first slot of ST2. If I started a new song, laod up some instruments and then think...OHH theat combi would be nice, I can't load it in because it will erase everything else that I loaded in the same slots.

I'm pretty sure that you can't.

But what you could do is:
- add another ST2
- load the Combi into there
- send the MIDI to both ST2s

Or
- load the individual Instruments in slot 16 downwards,
- leaving the lower slots for the Combis

Or
- add another ST2
- load the Combi into there
- note the names of each Instrument/User Preset
In your original ST2
- load the Named Instruments/User Presets into the slots you want
- change the MIDI input channels as needed
- save the whole lot as your own Combi.

[AFAIK, Combis are just combinations of Instruments/User presets - but if there are any changes you may need to save the Instruments/Presets from the second ST2 as new User presets then load those into the first ST2]

It's a bit of messing around but will get you the results you want

But it would be great if ST2 (and the others) loaded a Combi into _empty_ slots - why not send an FR to IKMM?
