This group was fairly open to it, as it turned out, many from the noise crowd among them.

Cheers, John.

Hey, it could be that good kind of silence that I have heard tell of.

;)

But seriously, I wish that I could find such stuff being done live around here.

OH how I do so wish.

You and me both. Not a single "house/club/disco/trance" place around. Got to drive 3 hours, make sleeping arrangements(cause i am NOT driving 3 hour drunks), to enjoy some awesome live music...hence my noob-ness, but willingness to learn. :D Love the clip man. Hoping one day to be able to pull stuff like that off myself.

I'm trying to see the correlation between a "house/club/disco/trance" joint and a SIGHUP live gig :hihi:

Are there enough people local to you to start a scene on your own? Myspace is a good way of finding locals to you making the same kind of music. Which is surprising, because it means that Myspace is actually good for something.

I'm guessing an electronic music scene writ large.

Meh, I suppose....but the "house/disco/trance" thing can be experienced at any old night club with a DJ....a big difference from a venue with a bill of experimental artists creating stuff live. Just my opinion though, of course.

I agree with you, but I was just guessing.

I'm talking anything outside of rap/hip-hop/r&b. anything electronic, nowhere near here. as for getting enough people around to be interested, been looking around, but not a whole lot on myspace/facebook/everyonesconnected to work with. :( Ah well, moving in another year or so to Charlotte, NC, and a buddy DJ's at the Forum and Bar Charlotte, so I'll get some time in with him.

*edit* the best "DJ"(can you call WMP 10 and lots of speakers mixing/djing?) around here, actually played "Apple Bottom Jeans" three times within a 2 hour set. I almost cried. Then he played the Cha Cha Slide, and I left. Now you can kind of understand what I'm working with in the area.
