Hi, i am trying to make a panel in my synth, which can be used to select patches. I have seen some synths that use panels where you can select patches. However, i don't know how to implement this in Synth Edit. Do i have to use Sub Controls for this ?
Thanks
Robert
Thanks

Hi Robert, Im not sure i follow you correctly. I wanted a panel to act like the one on your QUBIRD synth. The panel has a green background.
Everytime you select a patch it changes the dispaly text on the panel.
Also wanted to change a patch on the display with a button. Scrolling through a list of patches.
I have conected the midi program changer, however, i am stuck on the next part.
and then connect a listentry to Programm out...u must set the listentry to (ignore programm change)...so thats it...
thanks for your help so far

Thanks Robert , I understand how it works now. Excellent.
Cheers for taking the time to explain it to me and creating an example.
One final Question ?
Just wondering how you managed to get the green background panel in your synth.
Or did you use a graphics file attached to something.
Thank you once again
All the best

i will send you a free copy of my Synth as soon as it is completed.

Ok, i have a slight problem with my synth.
I can change patches with the prev and next button ( patch select buttons )
and the text will change to the correct name on the panel. However, when i change a patch from the menu in Logic Audio, it selects the patch but does not change the Text on the Graphical panel. ( i hope that makes sense )
Any help would be great Please.
Thanks
Robert

Sorry to awaken this topic this late, but it is no wonder why the menu patch selection doesn't alter the text. The text is not connected to recieve any data from the patches to alter it properly. You can do this in SE 1.1 that recently is available for download on the synthedit.com site.
