time for a bump

Post

Next week we'll be releasing the first of our series of bimonthly presets updates, as well as the first set of presets for the Anomaly Fusion Edition. That means that when you buy the special bundle of Prometheus and the WusikEngine edition of Daniel Kemp's Anomaly library, you'll get presets that combine waves from both sample sets. This is just the start for our plans on integrating the Prometheus VST with not only our dBu and Westgate soundsets/expanders but with libraries across the Wusik-format world. You can accumulate all the samples in the world, but if they're not pulled together into playable well-organized presets, you may actually be subtracting by addition when you consider the time you spend being a librarian and not a musician. So our priority with Prometheus is to make the sonic palate accessible and musically useful even as it expands. Our mission for Prometheus is for it to be THE sample-player synth solution. At only $100 for what you get Prometheus features an amazing bang for the buck, but not we're not going for just the best for the money, we want to be the best period.

Also coming soon will be a free upgrade to WusikEngine version 4.6.2. We're just getting started here.

Is there a demo verion of that new Fortuity VSTi?

No, there isn't as of now, it wasn't something either Fortune or us had the time to do when we first released it, but we may revisit the issue. There was at one point a free sample of the soundset, and that may come back sooner, though that doesn't tell you as much as actually working with the instrument. Thanks for asking, and that is actually an incentive to action, where Fortuity has been somewhat back-burnered by working on Prometheus and our NI projects. No specific promises, but it's back on the agenda.

Also all Prometheus users will get a free upgrade to V5 of the Wusik Engine once it is available... :D

Also, you get to participate in the beta tests of V5, once we start it. :cool:

This is a ways down the road, of course, but what will likely happen is that we will do both a free engine-only update plus a paid engine plus content upgrade. The size and shape of this will of course depend a lot on what new features there are in V5, and how we are able to exploit them with a new generation of presets and samples.

In the meantime, the presets update is on track for this Friday, and the 4.6.2 free engine update will happen this month, when we have a minute to redo the instrument installer.

Nice demo :) I like the sounds, I think they are very well done & interesting, I like the drum loops too. The wusik engine is a very cool software to make romplers. Keep up the good work!

I purchased Prometheus and can tell you they ARE very well done indeed! Really a nice sample set. There are some drum (not really timpini i don't think) type hits that are awesome - similar to Stormdrum.
Wordsong.info - because something GOOD is on the way!

Daniel done some great work on those WS loops :) Even though I contributed to Prometheus I honestly feel it is a great instrument. There are almost too many sounds in there......I have spent many a day even after working on the presets I contributed and I still find some new things that I had overlooked before.....it is like it grows all on its own :) John you done a great job assembling this collection and as always Daniel's work is impeccable.

Glad you people are liking it.... :D Thank you for the feedback... :love:

There is a new demo ready using the latest WusikEngine - V4.6.2.... It should be released in the near future....

Also, the update for the instrument to V4.6.2 may be happening soon. I have the new installers and am just waiting on new .dll files.... :D

Jamie - I agree about still finding things that have been overlooked. The SoundSet that come with Prometheus is huge, and we have really only scratched the surface with the initial 1500 presets..... There should be much more to come.... :D

Post

The Prometheus -Anomaly Fusion update has been updated thanks to Jamie Skeen to 100 all new prestes.... :D

More info to come.....

Should we wait for an e-mail? :)

There will be an email later tonight or maybe early tomorrow, But because I need to announce and address several things it will not go out until everything is in place so as not to spam folks with several emails. However, the instrument update is up., and the demo has been updated to 4.6.2. The presets update will be uploaded later tonight, so current users can get that plus the instrument update by using your link and login for the original download.

Then, the Anomaly Fusion presets will be up, and that link will go out to those users who buy that now and in future, as well as possibly to those folks who are already users of both, if that's something y'all would like. If so, holler at us, we're easy about this kind of stuff.

Of course, if you're a Prometheus user who wants to crossgrade to Anomaly, or vice versa, we can accommodate you also: any Dangerous Bear user, especially Anomaly users, who didn't get the crossgrade link for Prometheus, please email me. The crossgrade is only $80. This price is also good for users of:

Fuel 3, FuelCell 2007, any previous Wusik-format library like Ignition;

Vision(original and current versions), Vision 2(no longer available but content now part of Vision), Apokrypha and Dangerous Keyz for Kontakt, DroneWorx LE;

Fortuity VST or any previous library for HG Fortune synths such as Involution or Fortuity 1;

Genesis for EVE 2;

Dangerous Grooves, original, 2.0, or Perimeter Sound Editions;

Alchemy and Synth Solstice for Sampletank.

All of those permutations are going to take a little bit to sort out, so the full deal for everybody will be taking shape over the next couple of days. When it's all finalized, there will be a full, formal announcement. But everything is here, real, ready and we're making deals.

For new users, it's simple: Prometheus, $100, Prometheus Anomaly Fusion Edition with exclusive new presets integrating the libraries, $125 for now, probably going up later this spring or summer.

Thanks for the info, Jonathan. :hug:
