Hi all

New here and wondered if sample libraries are classed as "instruments"?

If so, anyone else discovered the wonders of the "Diva" samples from Bela D Media? I really rate this library.. within hours of having it was starting to use it on some major TV projects over here in sunny England... sign of great samples.. out of the box... into a track!!

But... and this is a big BUT!!.... the 1.1 update
has just made me feel as if I've died, gone to soprano heaven and have two beautiful semi naked women pandering to my every need (vocally speaking)!!

Ok... maybe that's taking it a BIT far... but seriously the simple addition of Key Switching to the main programs just makes what was always possible a million times easier... creatively you're in another world.

At this moment in time if you want to add an operatic/ethereal/haunting quality to your tracks you won't spend a better $149.

Anyone that has the library and hasn't got 1.1 yet.. quick.. you won't want to go back once you've got KS ing!!!

I have to also say that Diva is fantastic.

I convert it over to Halion and it is working well. It is a very haunting collection. Which is what I was after.

Very useable as well.

Semi-nude? Hadn't thought of that, but now I like it even better.

Sort of....

I replace the one gig file that you had updated.

The other part of the update, I don't think I can use being that it is a partial file. If it were included on the entire gig file, it would work. I have CDXtract and that may work, but I may never get around to doing it that way. I'd rather play music....

i've heard the demos.. and am more than impressed..

so.. if i buy now.. will i get the 1.1 version?

i'll be translating to EXS so like idavid.. if the extra file isn't included in the original .gig format i'll be up a gum tree

any advice?

The truth of the matter is I have 3 sets of DIVA left. I am about to place an order with my duplicator. The new set will be Diva 1.1.
All current customers are Diva 1.0 and have received updates via email.

So, I would say ... in your case. Yes, wait a tad.

I'm sure you would like Diva, she is quite nice

I just got Atmosphere and the two are playuing together well. Altought I've been really distracted with guitar lately.

Funny I buy a Stickbass and practice it for 8 months and now I'm drawing to guitar

(I really don't own a "decent guitar

)
