Bowed strings :)
How about a comb module (a la Zebra 2) then?
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

What's the difference between a comb module and a comb filter? Helix already has one, under the name DELAY/DLYFB on the filter section.

i think Jonas' string is a bit more complex than basic Karplus Strong ;)
the arp speaks the language of pure love tho'

simple example of something slightly different than usual arp
:D

Heey, LFO Period finally appears! However because of the different measurement, I don't think it's possible to sync it to equal temperament pitch scaling? (It's still worth it though. :D Thanks for adding at least)

String model sounds nice. Will be using it soon. :)

hehe, i've got wrapped around with the scripting :)
again before i try it, is it possible to use fractional ticks?
any chance for a 'modulo' opcode?
or 'equal to' besides gt and lt
or mapping cc or some continuous output surface widget to a variable?

really, this already overnight became one of my favourite programmable arpeggiators ever :D

:) Great sounding synth, it will be interesting to see how this develops from the beta version.

:( BUT, I came across a PROBLEM running the synth in SONAR Studio 7!

:!: Here's what happens: Helix loads and runs fine, however, if I save the project, when I reopen Sonar and load the project at a later date the synth crashes (i.e. drops out as if cpu load is too great, even though the load monitor shows only about 20%). I can restart the synth in transport, but it will drop out again. If I remover the track, remove the synth from the synth rack and reload the synth everything is OK again until I close and reopen the project when the same problem starts again.

Pity because this is going to be a great synth!

Regards.

I managed to blow it up to 20% on my aged XP2600+ ...

...that was with three oscillators, each in 16x-unison-mode, two filters, delay and reverb - and both hands on my master-keyboard. :D

b.t.w.: shouldn't it now be possible to create a Clavinet-emulation with Helix - I mean for a sound-designer who knows what he's doing? I tried it but failed miserably.

i cant get past 2% on my core2duo

i'm sure music sounds 15% better if your use more than 20% of your CPU
