So now Urs.....I'm trying to assign a set of midi learned knobs here in Pro Tools and it doesn't remember the knob assignments when I use "save settings as" in the PT plugin window and open another instance. It just loads the preset I had tried it on. Does midi learn have to be done with every instance and saved in a session? Can I assign knobs and save them with a patch? How can I make it so I've got pre-assigned knobs?

It should work globally but I think it's one of the bugs that need to be fixed (the assignment is easily forgotten). Preset-wise MIDI Learn is pretty high on the todo list though...

So this isn't a PT/wrapping issue....it's with Zebra? What is the global way it's supposed to work? I haven't tried saving a preset yet....is midi learn supposed to work that way?

MIDILearn is supposed to be global, as in, you learn one knob in one instance and it'll also be assigned in all other instances. No save with preset (yet) and unfortunately due to a bug (maybe not in ZebraCM, not sure now) it's not recalled after closing all instances...

Urs....here's what's happening here: I just wrote my first Zebra patch with midi learns for all the knobs on my controller. Nice patch but no midi learns are remembered for any other instance.

So that's confirmed. No Global midi remember in PT 7.3...on my setup anyway. This would be an A#1 request for an update fix with me. I'm big on my softs remembering knob assigns. Just one reason I love my Oddity and Imposcar!
