The trailer for the new series of the bcc series 'awaking the dead' reminds me again of how strange and haunting the(synth)sounds Japan used were(I think they used a Prophet?) And those peculiar basslines... :)

The basslines were due to Mick Karn's fretless bass playing. He did a pretty good job on Gary Numan's 'Dance' album too.
