Well, that works in classical music, but here in KVRland, warm is synonymous with the exalted analogue warmth, a form of distortion worshipped by some. Not me, but others.
The warmness of a violin is also caused by harmonics, so essentially the same.

Bottom line: the title of this thread and arksun's elation kind of led me to expect something less subtle or subjective. I appreciate you and bermudagold pointing it out; I just got a little pinchy.
Sorry if my descriptive side was misleading, wasn't my intention. Thats the problem when describing something, everyone has a different idea of what 'warm' and all the other superlatives actually mean.

I still stand by saying that this is one of the finest software eq's I have ever tried, really impressed the socks off me.
Shit, I re-read what I wrote and I was like, "Damn! I hope arksun doesn't think I'm insulting him or saying he was being misleading!" - which I wasn't. I haven't used the original EQ, so I'm certain you know plenty I don't: I was just expecting to be blown away a bit more, that's all. Sorry, mate: I knew what you meant. ;)

That being said, maybe it is time to sit down with a mix and see what happens! But I sure find those tests inconclusive. :?

The difference is that the attempt to do this with plug-ins is to use digital coding to try and emulate an analogue phenomenon. With violins, it's about capturing all of the harmonics and subtleties that make these instruments what they are. The goal may be the same, but the processes and results are not.

No traffic after an hour, so that doesn't look good. Zip. None. Nada.

Oh, you get the idea. :)

Opera torrent module does nothing, my other torrent app (BitPump -- very good if the torrent is) says it's unable to find tracker.

Too bad this download isn't on a file-sharing site. That's a hint, by the way. :)

OK, the proces is different but the qualification warm is the same. The qualification 'warm' has proven itself since a long time among musicians. It is obvious that some eq's have a 'warm' sound. Nothing wrong with that.

had some activity but dloads are stopped now.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with EQ warmth...unless, of course, one doesn't want it. An EQ for every musical taste. :)

I see 11 seeders on the site, but my second attempt still has no traffic. Don't know why. I download and share torrents all the time.

Wierd, I've been seeding all night.

There have been known problems with certain torrent programs.

Like I usually use uTorrent (which has worked for every other site I've used it with) and it just refused to work at all with any of the torrents on nebula-programs.com

Couldn't understand at all why it wasn't working but for the hell of it I downloaded the latest Azureus and that worked a treat.

Try that torrent program if the others aren't working. I'll keep mine running through the night so you'll have at least one person seeding.
