yeah, I just did, hopefully we'll hear back shortly.
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

well no word from tongsong. Watto, when you get a chance might as well have a go on what we've already got.

I think this one worked out pretty well! got a couple more players than last time, some really nice solos.

One thing I didn't anticipate was being stuck with that drum track for the duration. not sure how to improve on that if we do another -- we need a click to do this at all, but it'd be nice to dispense with it once things get rolling -- well, maybe next time :)

Anybody else? lot more downloads than uploads

It was definitely helpful when laying down my bass part. It's always difficult to add drums later to a bass even playing with a click.

If you post a drum-less version (so just your lead guitar and rhythm guitar) I could use NSKit7 and make something. But then again, if we find a drummer willing to participate in the collab we could just wait until then.

ha! there is a drumless version -- I forgot it when compiling all the links into that one post, but it's here (mp3 with a two-bar count-in)

yeah if that's something you'd enjoy doing, that'd be great! if it's gonna be a chore don't worry about it -- I think this one's pretty much run its course, nobody new has posted in quite a while.

main thing now is getting Watto to play some :)
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

ah, well. I guess this means you're not going to play on all of them? :D

quickest thing would be take a solo and head out on the original backing.

Or you could put these two together -- original backing minus bass

And Gregjazz's bass track here

Or just wait and see what Gregjazz comes up with :)
Yes. That's a human ear, all right.

I'd worry about not matching up Greg's bass time-wise (it's happened to me before), so I'll wait until he's put a mix together, I think :)

well, the mp3 has a two-bar click in, and the bass track is a .wav, so it should line up pretty easily.

but yeah I can understand wanting to play on the finished mix :)

Greg mentioned earlier how he hates it, so I'll hold off :hihi:

Hahahah, ok I'm downloading the drumless version. You can just wait until I get the final mix to you, rather than having to piece things together yourself.

Quick mix and some new drums:

Just paste it into a project file, it's 132 bpm.

P.S. sorry some polyphony problems with the drums later on, it was a quick mixdown... it shouldn't really affect your playing right now though.

Great, man - sounds awesome! I'll play on this in the morning - ran of time this evening.

Not exactly my best work, but it's not too bad - seems to fit ok :)

To get the piano dry, and an ogg of the piano etc, login to http://files.simonwatson.com.au with kvr as username and password :)

Incidentally, you can upload to there if you want to keep everything in one place.
