Osiris, i dunno about Orion, but in VSTHost Helix is loading perfectly ok.
what screen resolution are you running?

Post

My Settings tell me 1024 x 726 (the max)& the color 32bit(highest)I have an Nvidia graphics card.

Post

ah, i run 1280x960. seems that this 200 something pixels make a difference, tho i have some loose space around helix at that resolution

Would you care to clear, is Helix too big for your screen, or is it cut off in some other way?

If helix is too big, did you consider increasing the resolution of your monitor?

Works great in XT2 on My Macbook with Leopard. Hmmm... seems to sound better too? Could be my imagination though :)

Thanks for this splendidly phine instrument. Stringmodel is inspiring.
Runs stable in Podium.

Please, the EG section needs to be knobblyfied. Knobs just tell so much more, imo.

Jonas-Too big for the screen. I don't know why my resolution won't go up to 1280x960. I bought this LCD screen when they first came out. I do get warnings about screen not set at max resolution, but in my settings>Display WinXP says it's at max resolution. I get the same thing with Straightliner. Bottom, like third of instrument can't be seen. I'll do some research on the NEC Multisync & see if there's a way to do it from the LCD. Thanks, O

Have you installed the inf file for your screen or is it just the generic XP definition you have, in which case that MIGHT (or might not) be why the expected resolution is not available.

Post

with TFT screen there is always a native resolution outside of which the image is interpolated. that could be a problem, ie even if one can force the screen to work with reso higher than native it will look somewhat blurred compared to it.

Post

I did some research & found out my monitor is so old that the max resolution is the 1024. That's what I get for being one of the first in line to buy an LCD screen :)

I'm sorry to hear that. I remember on the amiga days with 200 lines or resolution... Currently Helix is about 800 lines high... I used to use 1024x768 and I have found myself increasing my monitor resolution during development of helix, so you're not alone preferring low resolutions.

I have a problem.

Okay, so I kinda figured out how to 'extend' the keytracking for LFO period. The problem is, I'm having a hard time trying to sync it to pitch, or at least be able to determine whether the LFO speed is going at the speed of C.

I need some help determining the KBD values linked to LFO period on the matrix. If not, is there a possibility for a switch for LFO period to measure in semitones?

Hi,

I want to report a small problem with Audjoo Helix, that might be solved easily because it only appears under certain conditions. I am still composing with Phrazor and if I use Audjoo Helix I always get a single hiccup the first time I play a song. It only occurs the very first time after a new song is loaded and one time after a preset change. And it doesn't happen if it's gui is opened.

I've had this problem in the past, though I tend not to notice it. It's something to do with the way Helix processes the patch parameters before fully loading. (With the GUI open, whatever you see loads.)

I see. Helix is a very good sounding VST and I really would like to make use of it. But as I want to perform my songs and not only produce them I must take care how the setup behave under live conditions.
I am not into programming, so I don't have any clue how difficult it would be to fix such a bug (if it can be called a bug at all)
