Below is a link to some Musikmesse videos of 2008. I particularly was interested in the Dave Smith "hardware vs software synths" video, also the John Bowen 'Solaris' video, and the Sonic Core 'Xite-1' video. There are plenty, Enjoy!

T2 Icarus is a must. SonicCore SCOPE is the most. As heart of studio it has my vote, cause XITE-1 is all she wrote.

I thought the video's where cool myself. Dave Smith stated he invented the first software synths, how is that for credentials
. Some of what he stated was just personal opinion tho, he's entitled to that. As for the Solaris video; The Solaris is such a beautiful sounding synth to my ears, i have not been interested in hardware synths in a long time but the Solaris has captured my interests, i just won't have the funds for it for a long time
. As far as the Sonic Core video its good to hear that the new plugins (compressor, reverb, eq) come 'free' with SCOPE platform 5, atleast that's my understanding. Those new additions really beef up a already meaty stock software package in the right ways if the plugs are high-quality.

jeah Ralf told me the same at messe. The plugs come for free included into the v5 pack.
And he also said, its not repacked old stuff. Definitly new atoms inside and so new sound.
"mmmh. good sound"
I hope they start again with emulating classic analog synths. I miss the elka synthex, Oberheim, Yamaha CS80 and so on...
Now that they got Mr. Piehl back, which seems to have left the team in 2003, like most devs after the first insolvency, there is hope for new synth modelling.
