usualy has lower and lighter strings than an acoustic guitar.
So some can not play that heavy way with a good result.

I could provide you with some strumming played with an electric with really heavy strings - it's single coil though...

We could try, never had a single coil take yet.

As mentioned privately in reference to the hissy sample and what mine sounded like, I have to say that personally it sounds like you are purposely going for the piezo pickup sound? I'm not being critical, I'm asking honestly. If so, that might be cool for some people but that's not at all what I like. I never was a huge fan of the trend of live guitarists thinking a piezo pickup mounted on an electric sounded anything like an acoustic.

not very convincing...

oh, I like it - it's a bit boomy (no wonder, considering the heavy gauge) but nothing a low-cut couldn't fix - also the accidentally half-muted strings (due to bad playing) are more obvious than in the original file (again no real wonder) - but anyway it sounds usewful - and the hiss is gone b.t.w.
