One evening I had this idea to sample a wine glass. I poured some water in (due to my very recent activity on fixing my water installation it happen to be rather dirty), set the microphone and started to play. I used K-tuner and a spoon to tune it. Luckily it turned out that my glass has 12 note range, so I took a sample of each note. It was very quiet night, but the sound was even quieter and I had to turn off my crt monitor and take of the shirt to eliminate background noise. Then I layered the samples in Directwave and started to play. I find this sound intriguing. Here's an improvised piece on solo sampled wineglass:

A Glass of Dirty Water - 4:55, 5MB

The only effect used is IR plate reverb.

Can we have also a picture of taking of the shirt ? :)

Besides, the piece is a masterpiece. Would you consider sharing the samples ?

This would be a really bad idea, unless you like images of long haired sweating mid-aged blokes.

Would you consider sharing the samples ?
This would be fairly large download, 12 samples, about 40 seconds each, 96/24, it's over 100MB, unless I trim it or downsample... If you find it interesting PM me and I'll arrange it for you.

A scary atmosphere, a soundtrack-ish thing.
It's incredible how you build that melodies since every sound has a different character, attack, timbre, etc..
Good idea and superb execution :tu:
