Strangely -- without being specific -- it's a different number to what i was seeing before. But maybe pre-orders got a different discount? That or my status declined.Squids wrote: I see what happened. It wasn't doing the membership discounts. It is now. So you can go buy the crossgrade for whatever your membership discount is. By the way, we ask that you don't quote "your price" on forums because the prices are different for each member depending on their membership level. If you are a gold or platinum member on esoundz it is going to be less than someone who isn't then it is likely to be a little less so... we ask that people please keep their personal transaction information private since it can vary from person to person.
Moving back to the Tronster itself, and listening to the demos again ... i think i've finally tripped over the great Bollywood Sound Machine here. These creaky strings are just off the wall

Hey funx....I think it's because when it first went on pre-order it was 249 retail instead of 269 and the discount was based upon that....at least, it seems that way to me...funkychickendance wrote:Strangely -- without being specific -- it's a different number to what i was seeing before. Alright! I just checked my esoundz order for the Rare and Vintage GB and found that my SampleTron shipped today. It arrives Thursday! Wish I didn't have a 12 hour day on Thursday. Ah well... Who can sleep when there is new software to be installed and played with?
Cheers,

No. The normal policy is to put it on pre-order if we feel it is 2-4 weeks away which is what it should have been at the time we started the pre-order. But we had to wait longer than we expected for it. SR was done with its part months ago. But there are a lot of parts to a product like this such as the manual, the installers for all formats, the box, the marketing materials etc. Any one of those things can hold up a release. All of that was out of our hands so we just had to wait. But at least it's here now!monday wrote:er. where is it? it was paid for two months ago - is that normal pre-order policy?Squids wrote:Thanks for your patience.

The MSRP on IK's price list went up so that's probably what it is. If you want the previous price though you can just email Allen (at) esoundz (dot) com and he'll honor it.funkychickendance wrote:Strangely -- without being specific -- it's a different number to what i was seeing before. Benefit of pre-order or even just order timing in general because IK prices are going up a little bit in the US. Not by much though.beergeek wrote:Hey funx....I think it's because when it first went on pre-order it was 249 retail instead of 269 and the discount was based upon that....at least, it seems that way to me...funkychickendance wrote:Strangely -- without being specific -- it's a different number to what i was seeing before. The other benefit of pre-order...mine arrives on Thursday as well
When I get it, I'll compare the GB, SampleTron and V1 to see what's in V1 that we don't have.
The V1 download is pretty cheap now so probably worth getting in any case.

About the demo,
is it necessary to install the Tron demo or can the sounds be used with the ST engine?
cheers

I haven't actually tried it but the demo sounds are in the same format as ST sounds....and I do know that I have all of my SonikSynth sounds loaded for ST.soulata wrote:About the demo,

I would guess, all the ST engine demos (including SampleMoog) would work.

I've been able to play the demo sounds of SampleMoog and SampleTron in the ST engine. Give it a go.soulata wrote:About the demo,

Well, I wish he would. Or at least reply to my recent e-mail. As it happens, it's gone up about another $20 since this online conversation startedSquids wrote:The MSRP on IK's price list went up so that's probably what it is.
