By the way, I know drums and guitars are going to be covered in Studiophonik... right?... But I heard one time that it was going to cover pianos and horns as well. Is that still true, or have plans changed?

Sooo... Not to be annoying or anything, but is there an estimated release date for Studiophonik? It just seems like I've been waiting for it for a long time now!

No keys and horns anymore. But there is Guitar Bass and Drums. We'll have Studiophonik out one way or another. Not sure the release date and I have been forbidden by the KVR community at large to say "coming soon".
But... it's coming. Thanks for your patience. It will be worth it!

Are you referring to 'special' keys and horns made specifically for Studiophonik as a separate download, or are you referring to your usual bag 'o tricks where downloadablesoundz.com will carry all possible sounds under the "sample everything" banner?Squids wrote: Keys and horns will be downloadable sounds available on... drum roll please: www.downloadablesoundz.com

Are these newly sampled horns? Anymore info on these or an approximate time these will be available? Will they work in Sampletank?Squids wrote:

if he (squids) ever decides to sell a horn collection here's my suggestion for a name:
How about Horny Horns?
telebunke
If you feel like it, you can refer telebunke at check-out. This will give both of us $5 in epointz.
What else would be cool? Visit me at www.soundclick.com/wewritesongs and listen to my stuff.

Studiophonik is pretty much done. Needs a final going through. It will either be released as a SampleTank library or as a module itself. One way or another that material WILL be released. It's been one of the more difficult ones to do for a variety of reasons... but it IS great and you even have a taste of some of the outtakes in that Vintage Collection. A lot of those keyboards were the original keys for Studiophonik... like the Rhodes and Wurly. Some guitars and basses as well.
But, we're also thinking about releasing them as three separate collections at a lower price so if you JUST wanted the drums you could get it for less than the whole thing which might have been more than you'd want to spend... unless you did want all three - guitar, bass and drums. So we'll see what happens in the next couple of months.

One vote here for separate releases as an option. Being a guitar player, I don't typically use sampled guitar sounds except for mangling them to be something far removed from a guitar sound.Squids wrote: But, we're also thinking about releasing them as three separate collections at a lower price so if you JUST wanted the drums you could get it for less than the whole thing which might have been more than you'd want to spend... unless you did want all three - guitar, bass and drums. +1 I also play guitar and bass myself. I would only want the drums material. I am sure that it is all great, but I like playing my own parts when I can...buscemi wrote:One vote here for separate releases as an option. See? There you go. I personally would opt for just the guitar stuff.buscemi wrote:One vote here for separate releases as an option.
