AS an avid Reason user I am feeling TOTALLY neglected by SR/esoundz. Please don't mention rex files....I don't use them or need them.

What about a Rare & Vintage Collection for Reason?????
What's up on those THOR patches as a Synth refill upgrade????
Why does Sampletank get ALL OF THE LOVE :? :? :hihi: ??????
CAn you upgrade your library with a hotter drum collection???

Give me some kind of hope, man. :help: :help: :help:
EPhraZe IzReal Music....Ig you need hot beats hit me up.

While I'm not fluent with the latest version of Reason, REX files are the best delivery for sampled grooves with the most flexibility for the different DAWS/software. I know Reason isn't much of a DAW in respect to being a "host" (one of its major drawbacks), but Refills are too dedicated for it to be worth the time and effort for the users that are STRICTLY using Reason; opposed to users combining Reason with another HOST program.

I can understand your frustration, even sympathize, but maybe now's the time to start exploring the integration of a HOST software alternative to compliment Reason...there's plenty out there at many levels of complexity.

cheers!

Didn't Squids work for IK at one point and uses SampleTank a bunch himself? Might 'splain some things.

Also, I thought they announced that there would be a huge amount of content available in different formats soon?

Yeah, I realize that Reason is sort of limited as a stand alone program, but it is pretty damn good though. I have been flirting with the possibility of purchasing a hardware workstation that would complement Reason's easy workflow and synths. I figured that I'd spend about $1200 to $1500 for a orchestra, guitar, brass, and all-around sample collection or vst. East West Quantum Leap instruments are the closest thing to hardware quality sounds. But, I'd rather use Reason and a Motif XS together because hardware synths don't have conflicts with DAWs like other software does. Besides, there's not ONE sample collection or VST that can compete the the new Motif sound quality or quantity. It's coming to a point of total frustration.

If you're going the EastWest/Quantum Leap route, you're better off going the DAW route, unless you're gonna use something like the MUSE Receptor and record the VSTi's that way with the hardware workstation...

back to the original frustration: IMHO, Squids is creating the sound banks for what the general populous is using, has the most flexibilty. Not casting stones, if you're gonna make music with Reason, using a HOST (Cubase, Logic, PT, Reaper, SONAR, et. al) to do the mixing will allow for much more flexibility and cleaner finished product.

"As I first discovered eSoundz it was through Reason 3. I had purchased it at GC on a salesman's recommendation. But GC didn't have the loops. That's where I found eSoundz. Well I bought all 20 volumes and SampleTank and Sonic Reality and Mirsolav and TRacks.... The bottom line I believe is Reason changed distributors. Line 6 distributes Reason now. So it's not Squids. It's business. That's even more the reason why not to stick only one format. Politics can put you out of business if you don't have something else to fall back on IMHO."
