hello, I just downloaded paulstretch.
I thought it was a .vst or some type of plugin, but instead I have all these source files and I don't know how to run them. I looked it up, but can't find much intro. I figure I have to compile the "compilewin_32.sh" file but I have absolutely no clue how to do that.
and after that, do I need a type of host to run it or is it a standalone program? i'm just completely lost :S
I'm using Windows btw.
Thanks for help!
How do I run/compile Paulstretch?

There's a standalone version, as well as the source code.

No worries. It's east enough to do from that site.

I am wondering the same thing, but for OS X. I have dl'd the required libraries with fink, macports, etc., and tried to point the linux compiler to the directories. Every single time I get a PortAudio error or a permission denied for libaudiofile. I wish that Paul would update the code for more current libs, or make a univeral config & make file? Maybe then an OS X port would be easier. BTW I know that there is a OS X port, but I believe it is PPC only and I am on Leopard/Intel.
