You've just got it the wrong way round, Hyperion should be set to MIDI out and the other synth should be set to MIDI in.

Changed them, but still not getting any result, is it because the tempo setting?! Because the Demo version of the mentioned plug in is limited to certain tempo values

Sorry I can't really help you there as I don't have the demo version and I no longer use FL Studio for anything more than beat making nowadays

Try loading this project file which works on my pc and then play with the tempo settings.

if the tempo's at a 'wrong' setting (not a multiple of 40) it will still output midi, it will just be disorganised as certain internal params will be locked to the nearest multiple of 40.

I did not have much time to play around lately, but I still have a lot of fun with hyperion, and here is the result of this evening's experiment with hyperion and some Rare Keys from the recent Sampletank Rare and Vintage group buy (and there is one Vintage Drum too). Everything is played by one instance of hyperion and recorded for 64 bars.

So how exactly do pauses/rests work in hyperion? i cant seem to figure that part out.

the destination assignment is 'gate.'

beyond using the step sequencer or step mod, a synced lfo is a convenient way of making periodic rests. use the 'bias' param to weight the number of gate events.

If I bring up Talent in OP 7.1 , then any other VSTi instrument, and tell that insrument to recieve midi from talent , I'm in buisness. The same config with hype-ron does nada. I don't know of any special way to tell OP to send a midi clock signal into hype-eron . Thanks anyhow.

In Orion go to the Generator Settings for Hyperion, then choose "MIDI CC" for the Automation Type option.

Here is my first experiment with Hyperion. I am new to algorithmic composition (and to soft synths actually) so I started with something simple and blended it with something familiar .. baby steps and all that. Hyperion is doing the repeating synth motif in this, drums are jamstix, and the rest is me jamming along via mulitrack.
