- When editing an automation envelope I miss the display of the value of the node I'm dragging. For example, if it's an eq frequency curve then it should show the frequency beside the node while I'm dragging. What I do now is drag-rewind-play-drag.

Can't arrange while zoomed out.

+10 it's been mentioned before, but it's really important. Without it arranging large scale stuff becomes a pain as you have to zoom in to be able to move things, but you can't see the overall project structure.consoul wrote:When zoomed out, small clips can only be resized - when zooming out, there should be a point where only moving/dragging of (selections of) short clips is possible.

sink, I think what you mean about snapping could be improved if snapping were relateve to zoom. So when you are moving parts around and zoomeed out to 105 bars snap set to medium would snap to bars, while zoomed in to 4 bars, snap medium would be set to 16ths.sinkmusic wrote:Hi all
1 - [sequencer view] better gridsnapping at far zoom levels :
the grid snapping is alright when working at a small clip level, but 8 times out of 10, when i drag clips at a full project's zoom level, i can't manage to drop it exactly where i want, because the snapping is a bit "weak" (i don't have the best words to describe that : does it make sense anyway ?).
...
3 - Arp HOLD mode
One thing that nicely p_sses me off (souds like nothing but i guess it is not that much easy to deal with, as Ableton Live's has the same annoying stuff) : when i use a synth with Ext's arp, and that the arpeggiator as "hold" enabled, it keeps on playting even if no clip is playing anymore, and even if you come back at the beginning of the project, etc.
I know "hold" is here, well, to hold the notes, but i owuld very much like an "intelligent" hold function, detecting if is it supposed or not to keep on playing (for example : no clip in the track = automute, and if a clip is present, even with no notes = "hold" ON = keep on playing).
At the moment, i always have to manually re-select the syth's track, disable the arp, then re-enable it : it makes me lose the focus on my song and make me do a lot of mistakes, etc.
I hope you get the point despite the crappy explanations.
Cheers

I haven't gone through this whole thing, so forgive me if this has been mentioned:
I'd like to see monitor/midi through controls on folder tracks. This way I can set up a folder for an external synth with midi and audio tracks and be able to turn on and off the monitor controls with one click.
This isn't a very big or necessary feature but would greatly improve my workflow.

It's a truly horrible faff trying to set your oscillator detune to a specific value using an envelope. Being able to enter the value numerically would be even better.
+1 (again) to the 'dragging while zoomed out' thing, too.
It's a rave, Lewis!

The only thing holding me back from picking this software up is the lack of tempo envelopes. I'd be happy enough with a simple value entry on the bar (like in ACID), but the ability to control it through an envelope would really seal the deal. The MIDI loopback workaround techniques described in other threads were a complete turn-off to me.

Vertical zoom was, for me, one of the most missed features in XT1.
Please Jorgen implement it in XT2.

when zooming in the sequencer window it doesn't zoom to song position.?
also someone said use mouse wheel to zoom, but it's not working for me.
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
