Eh? Earthworks are out of NH? Sweet. Some of my favorite mics (xcept my beloved c414 of course). Also, I'm actually from Boston/Jamaica Plain, but NH isn't as bad as I thought originally

BTW, I was able to get rid of a whole shit-ton of freebies: No more slim slow slider stuff, that stupid Electri-Q Posifopit something-or-other EQ (although I kept the Noname EQ), Compressive, some BS Synthmaker plugs I made for EQ, and some other SE EQ's/comps I never used. I kept all my Nomad Factory plugs (new ones) cos they still sound smooth, but yours have some sort of snap that I think sounds very nice on various materials. Sweet deal.

Yeah earthworks, audio accessories, and others are out of NH. Boston even more so.. Never realized how many audio manufactures are out of NE until after i moved.

I received a question about SUB-1 functions. This might help others that are questioning.

Can you please explain to me the concept of the SUB-1. I'm able to make the subs sound very good with it but i'm just playing around with the knobs and frankly i don't really know what i'm doing. I'd like to understand the controls a little more.

It is made to focus on the 0-200hz frequency range.

Filter/Shelf button = Changes it from a pass filter to a Shelf EQ.
Button Off = Filter
Button On = Shelf

The LP/HP button = Sets the filter or shelf to be a Low-pass/Low-shelf or High-pass/High-shelf.
Button Off = Low-pass/Low-shelf
Button On = High-pass/High-shelf

Freq = The frequency for the filter/shelf

x10 (I added this just because you never know when it might be needed) = It bumps up the frequency times 10. Example 200hz now = 2000hz

Width = Controls the resonance (filter peak/slope)

Boost/Cut = Gain & attenuation.

There was one, the sub one, I rescanned my plugs in Reaper, and it came up under some other name, like hpf-1 or something, same as another plug, and there was "2" of them but one was really the sub one.

Vieris...your plugins are awesome...only i have noticed
an unusual behaviour of the Gain Reduction meters...they are...uhmm a bit less responsive(i apologize for my poor english)...even with no action at all on the meters itself the sound is already compressed...this make me a bit confused on how much compression takes place...however...thanks for your work

Yeah theres only 5 LEDs. The visual range is limited for sure. the 1st LED is at -3 so yes you will hear compression before the leds show anything. I was inspired by one of my favorites.



I'm not sure what else I can say. Treat them more as reference indicators & rely on your ears..

Key Features.

- FPC mode (Filter Phase Compensation). EQ's by nature modify the phase of the frequencies they boost/cut. FPC reintroduces the phase canceled signals from the EQ filters. This may or may not be desired depending on the EQ application.

I just tried this and your last two limiter creations: very, very nice! You're making some exciting stuff here, as always. That EQ is whack with the FBC thing! You can really alter the sound with your stuff in unexpected ways; very different than other EQs. The Lim-1 and LVA sound fantastic, and I even tried them out on the mix bus; they sound to me like good candidates for "mix glue"-style compression. Great stuff.

If I may ask: how do you do make these so quickly? And why did you go from normal coding to Synthedit, out of curiosity?

great stuff! tried lva, lim and ffc and..wow.
ffc is really fresh air. aahh, it breathes, pops, blasts..never been able to tweak
the curve this way, so fast. just too sweet.

I try to make tools that can actually offer something useful. I have invested a lot of $ in plugins myself, so when I make something it's based on the desire to fill a hole that I have in my collection. Doesn't help i have a Compressor/EQ addiction/fascination. Why SE? I'm an audio engineer/musician 1st and foremost not a fulltime coder. SE offers me a platform that handles 32/64bit float internal processing, allot of great 3rd party code modules, great support resources when i have questions, & works great with my hosts. Covers all my wants. It has allowed me to laydown my years of built up signal flow ideas in vst form. Why so fast? Excitement & I'm on the night shift this week. The studio can be dead at night I am also doing this without the profit in mind. If i was yeah i would space them out. This also allows me to careless if my vision is mass accepted and profitable. I have to much crap I want to finish to deal with that.
