ddummer wrote:What happened with this thread was that people got bored of listening to waves and looking at pictures when there was no talk about an actual release so I stopped teasing people.
But it was just for fun: c'mon Daniel!

Half a ball tickler.....

Nothing fancy but it works nice on vocals/bass if you want some
"make it louder" zero latency compression...
It is actually developed as an "inside the mixer" effect for my sequencer
where I made this special GUI version since the original mixer GUI is too small where some hosts can't handle a too narrow width.
(and yes it will turn up within a day or three.)

Interesting! How does that NoiseGate work? I see no settings for it? Btw. that *military* color scheme is actually quite nice imo.

The noise gate compensate the gain increase by simply reducing gain "inbetween" the sound.
By that It will sound pretty "dry" and will not fit any signal but
it is tuned to stay out of the signal where only a simple on/off button
is required.

I can tell already it's going to sound fantastic.
How? Easy.
It's that Abbey Road grey-green....

The point with this one is that it should be simple to use.
You got one sound with 'comp' (longer attack) and one with 'limit' (faster attack)
where you select the amount of 'reduction' and make up the 'gain' loss.
And if you want to push even harder you can switch on 'boost'.
If a vocal track got too much noise floor and you raise the gain
too much you can switch on the 'noise gate' to "dry up" the track
by gating out the noise floor.
