Amplitube Metal...download version?

i noticed at the IK site that u can get a download only version of Amplitube Metal (at a crossgrade price too)...
Can this be done somehow at eSoundz as well?...and use our ePointz at checkout?
Should be doable,right?

Agreed, I'd love to see this. I assumed that if it was available at IK that esoundz would have it too?

Apparently they dropped in to counter the Group Buy gripes but didn't see this one might want to just email. At this point, I'm more likely to buy elsewhere but probably not directly from IK.

i always buy the IK stuff from esoundz and i dont think i will ever buy from elsewhere or straight from IK...
At esoundz u get a bit of discount and best of all u could use epointz..but not any more
its only for downloaded stuff..loops and the like but what if (like in my case)u dont use any of that downloadable stuff and most probably never will..
Since Amplitube Metal IS offered as a download only purchase at IK it would be cool if esoundz followed suit and offered its customers that option as well and the chance for many people to use their epointz where they normaly never would...

I don't mind using the points for sounds, but would have considered using what I have against Amplitube Metal downloadable but I won't at this point - however, I bet you will see some sort of answer once the work week starts (and especially if you email, I think that would get more of a response).

While I respect your decision, it seems a bit on the harsh side (IMHO).

The epointz thing is supposed to be a fun 'gimme,' nothing more. There's tons of stuff you can still buy with it, and there's no limit now to the amount you can use.

But c'mon--it's a business like any other. You don't HAVE to shop there and acquire the pointz, but if you do, it's a fun extra. Do you have any experience using frequent flyer miles? Now there's a business model run amok. They are constantly restructuring the use of those miles because if they don't, a good piece of their paying business will go right down the tubes.

Regarding Amplitube Metal, I would think that Esoundz would eventually have it as a download. However, I doubt it would qualify for Epointz simply because it is not an Esoundz product.

BTW, Epointz isn't the only reason to buy from Esoundz. As he has done in the past, Squids has presets and extra sounds that he will occasionally give away to customers for that software. Again, a nice fun thing that others don't do.

Call me a fanboi if you like, but honestly, at the end of the day I get great value as well as a bit of fun for my hard earned ducats. Every business has the occasional snafu, but Esoundz's recent episode is nothing compared to the big name retailer who, over the course of an entire year sold me the same defective monitors 4 times before admitting the mistake...then billed me twice. Or the OTHER big name retailer who sent me 5 emails over six weeks, each telling me that my order was going to be sent the following week...I finally received it more than 6 months after the order was placed. Plus, in both those instances, I was never able to speak to the same person twice.

Sorry for the long wind. Like I said, you're more than entitled. I'll shut up now.

first of all,i havent decided anything and i dont think i was harsh in any way...
epointz is not the reason i shop from esoundz either...i would shop from them without those (like u r )anyway...
in fact when Amplitube Metal was released i went straight to the esoundz page to order it..with no luck..i was getting an error at checkout for two days straight..
i thought..well..this might be a sign from the Metal Godz ..maybe i shouldnt buy it right now...
a couple of days later i notice there is a download version at IK at a croosgrade price as well...
i want this a.s.a.p but STILL i resisted buying it from there cause i would rather buy it from esoundz as always..

We do sell AmpliTube Metal on www.esoundz.com but it is only the shipped boxed version. We'd love to be able to sell the downloadable version but that is currently only available from IK at full price. Anyway, that's why we tell you guys that we're lucky whenever we ARE able to offer other company's products as downloads such as recent group buys. When/if people complain then it hurts our chances of being able to carry more in the future and when people rave/applaud then it increases our chances or helps our case to ask for it and hopefully get it. This isn't something automatic and definitely not something WE take for granted. But you know how it gets in those threads sometimes... I TRY to explain how delicate it is especially if we're working with another company on it but some people listen and some people don't.

Anyway, maybe some day we'll be able to offer it as download. Not at the moment. But it can be shipped, not a big deal.

I think that my "mistake" is that after all these years i was under the false impression that esoundz is something like the official distributor of IK or something like that!
Thats why i thought that whatever IK offers at their site esoundz can offer too..and then some!
Assumption is the mother of all f**k-ups huh?!

No, esoundz is just an online store. We're in the same building as IK US distribution though. But actually the paperwork is the same as any other store... you send a PO and you get a product. We just save the time of having it shipped to us because we can walk instead. Although, that said, IK's main HQ is in Italy so products still sometimes take a little while to arrive in all of its pieces (manuals, discs etc.) to the US. That's why sometimes it is available earlier in Italy. As far as being offered as download... that is up to IK. We've only been able to offer it that way on special occasions like some group buys.

As for an estimated shipping date... I don't know. It all depends on when the materials arrive. I imagine it should be soon. But with holidays, international shipping... you just never know. We'll take it off pre-order when we have it! I think it will be faster than anyone can get it from the US though since we have it in stock the day IK has it in the US.

Here's a question for Squids, if I order AT Metal Crossgrade at the membership price from eSoundz, say today, Sunday, is there any way I can get the free effect along with this through the IK deal which I think lasts till the end of May, or is it over already? The problem I see is that I'd have to register the AT Metal by the end of May, if that promo of IK goes till the end of May, but because the product is shipped and delayed, I'd miss being able to register it in time to get the free effect. Is that true that this is a problem? I'm up for buying AT Metal at the eSoundz membership crossgrade price if I can also get a free effect. I really want that reverb effect. So that would make AT Metal combined with that a really nice deal. I guess I'd need to somehow get a serial number emailed to me pronto from eSoundz for AT Metal so I can register for the free effect in time. I wouldn't need the actual product for that. Is that possible?
