Hello Everyone,

I am interested to hear from all those of who have tried the demo version of Scanned Synth Pro. What did you think of it? What's best/worst about it. Have you considered buying it? If not, why not? This would really help me out so thanks to everyone in advance :) .

I spent a little while with it and read the long thread ( back to '06) and , remembering that it's all so subjective , here is my $.02.
It's a nice plugg . I like the context sensitive help , and it's got all the right controls really. The GUI (funky one ) is way cool and I think appropriate.

I may have had a bit of "find what your looking for " syndrom because I kept reading comments like " Great for horror flick sound tracks" and after a while I kind of missed the lack of "pretty sounds " Now mind you , I'm not that proficient a programmer whit the most straight foward VAS controls , so I just messed a bit with the randomizer.
I'm a VST'i whore , and have to really reel myself in , because I just love these things . So any way ,I decided that , basically , If I ever get a job doing sounds for SCI-FI flicks , I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

So , I think that you might want to put in some "sweety " presets if possible to showcase a bit more of a versitile taste.
Please understand , I'm trying my best at not making biased judgment ( I'm not that qualified). It's quite a different fish and I'm very impressed , but I just could'ny envision using the edgy sounds that are so plentifull in most of the eleven patches ( why so few ?)Probably just my musical taste are to mainstream and not advan-garde ( spell?)

I kind of hesitated to respond cause Your doing something so original and I loath the thought of discouraging you so take it with a grain of salt.
I'm a little ignorant somtimes.
Cheers

Is there really only 11 patches in the demo?

If not there are definitely some nice sounds in there because I deliberately made some lovely light airy pad sounds and TC and the others did some nice ones too.

Thanks fo rthis valuable feedback. I will take a look at the selection of presets in the demo version and see if more generally appealing sounds can be included.

Cheers,

John.
