Is that $279 instead of $299? Or is there a bigger discount somewhere.
Those are the only two numbers I find right off the bat...
$299/249E is the new, reduced official retail price of Atmosphere.

However, Spectrasonics Authorized Dealers often offer discounts...so check with your local dealer regarding discounts.

Thanks! I haven't been tuned in on the prices
Apparently, there are 20bucks more to save around...Sweetwater, for example.
Run for it, guys! :D

Eric,

I am almost definitely going to get Omnisphere when it comes out. I would not mind getting Atmosphere now if there is an upgrade path that will make sense at this point. is there?

Well, a few posts up...

The official upgrade pricing won't be announced until September, but I can promise that anyone buying Atmosphere now won't be paying more than the total price of Omnisphere - and then you'll end up with two great instruments for the price of one.
Whether or not that makes sense for you I can't say.

Yes...see above posts. :-)

Hi Eric

I am hoping that omnisphere will have a user library like native instruments where we can upload and download each others patches

wouldn't that be great
i could imagine such a library getting huge real fast

What I see is a reduced price for Atmosphere. What is not specified yet is how much it will cost to upgrade to Omnisphere. I don't want to pay more overall then I would pay if I just waited to buy Omnisphere at this point.

Let's try this again...

The latest video was OK but I did not think it showed anything that impressive. Patch searching by tag etc. is fairly common. Images associated with a patch is surely not going to be used much - more of a gimmic if you ask me. Bit dissapointed not to see more about the sound modelling in the new system

Yes!

Wasn't that clear to you in the end section of the Episode 6 video? That's exactly what we were doing in the video with all the different guys working together. :-)

That's correct. Upgrade pricing will be announced closer to the release in September.

And you have my promise that you won't. :-)

Thanks for clarifying it again. Time to get Atmosphere. B-)

Actually, there's no other synthesizer, sampler or host on the market with a Context Sensitive Attribute browsing system that I'm aware of. So it's a big deal when you have such a massive library and a major advancement over systems with the simple "fixed attribute types" like the one's you're probably thinking of. Omnisphere's system is really sophisticated in comparison.

BTW...there's much more info coming on all of Omnisphere's sound shaping stuff of course too.... :)

Oh dont get me wrong it is good its just I am more into hearing more cool sounds :) Glad there is more on the way!

By the way I have not got Atmosphere and may buy it with its reduced price. I have seen it for £169 UK pounds - just wonderign if anyone has seen it cheaper?
