Hi Eric,

This synth looks awesome. I have a question about the arpeggiator. Is it possible to transpose individual notes in an arp pattern? I see from the video it is possible to transpose octaves for the whole pattern, but what if I want to transpose a single note?

Thanks!

Not initially, but that's on the wishlist already. :-)

Cool, thanks. :)

Spectrum: Thanks for yet another great epsiode. In one way I can't wait for september to arrive, while on the other hand I really enjoy these episodes and I'll miss not having to look forward to a new one every few weeks.

I loved the reference to the commercial ie "I'm sinking". I know this perhaps isn't the forum for it but I can't help but really digging this video. Every musician has probably been in a somewhat similar situation with and this guy put and end to it. Enjoy:

Just watched episode 6. The browser looks/works fantastic. I think the idea of having a picture to capture the mood or feel of a patch is nothing short of "revolutionary". It may seem like a "gimmick" to some but I for one am a very visual. Although there are very logical ways of searching for a patch, a picture of a "lonely road" for example evokes an emotion that is hard to describe. My guess is that once this becomes the "virtual instrument of the year" for many of the magazines we read, there be more of this kind of instrument/musician connectivity in competing products. Just my 2 cents.

...Eric, thanks for the informative bits in your videos. You really are building the anticipation for this monster!

Eric,
I just wanted to say thank you for the education you are providing. This totally helps me appreciate what I have got and even more, what I will be getting in September. I feel like I know more about "Synthology" because of your videos. You are one class act!!!!

Post

Eric, I really like the way you stay tuned on this thread and provide feedback.
I haven only seen this i few very rare cases, and it takes a very dedicated individual with total faith in what he/she does. This, along with the videos, is very convincing. I can't wait, either.

Now, is there anything more to say towards the system requirements of "da beast"?

We'll be posting the system requirements details closer to the release in September.

i wonder if the price in euro will be adjusted according to the actual rate between $$ and €€...

"omnisphere MSRP is $499 US and 399 Euro"

today 1€ = 1.58$, and probably in september will be even more!

so, 499$ is about 315 € at the actual exchange rate... :?

Often true, but in this case not i'm afraid.
MSRP US is a price without tax and the Euro MSRP is a tax incl price.
If you add tax (let's say 20%) it comes close to 378 Euro. (depending on your countries tax rate)

Ok...I recently upgraded to Vista 64, upgraded my ram and have been offline for some time, I missed this Video release but I have now installed Quick time and ...

"cd recorder for $25,000" :hihi:

Author, Mood and Performance technique options /attributes e.t.c are really clever ways to search though such a large Library. That will be a great help.

The images for the patches of course will not make a patch sound better :P but they do add to the high quality presentation of Omnisphere so I think it is a very nice touch.

The Sound Source Zoom is a brilliant idea. Lavish attention to detail. Lovely. The ease of use the Context sensitive approach allows is really very impressive. It looks like a very simple browser to use now.

Tagging based on my usage of Windows Vista is very powerful. I have only used tagging sparingly but it really speeds up searches and is a more intelligent way to find something IMO. I am very pleased to see something similar but tailored specifically for an Instrument as wide and as deep as Omnisphere. Looks like it will be very powerful and equally fun to use.

Quick word on Vista 64.
Not sure how many Vista 64 users are running RMX, T and A, but so far so good here for all three of your products.

I recently installed RMX, Tri. and Atm. on V64 and they all work perfectly well...I thought it might be a step too far in terms of compatibility but so far the functionality and speed of use is identical to XP/Vista x86 if not even more responsive.

I am running them with Podium. I have Sonar (which I also use) but I think it's easier (compatibility wise) to just use Cakewalk products with Sonar and 3rd party 32 bit VST's+VSTi's in Podium. That set up works very well (so far) on Vista 64.

Your FAQ states plans to release a 64 bit version of Omnisphere at some point. Looking forward to that! :)

64bit of omnisphere is must! please!!!!

One quick question, Spectrum...

Will there be any of the Novachord in Omnisphere?

I believe there was reconstruction work being done on this very old synth.

It was an amazing synth and I'd be happy to see this one.
