I don't mind the cpu but by the time you've found the folder with the synth or effect you want , you're faced with a thousand showoff presets or a big learning curve. Very few of the synths are easy to work out IMHO. I keep meaning to make a favorites folder and isolate the synths I like into categories...but I don't have time for that either. :(
Start a new bank and hit randomise ;)

it's a good way to get a feel for the synth and the type of sounds it can produce,i'm finding it a really effective way of crreating new sounds and isolating the ensembles i like :)

I do the opposite. After I hear what is offered for snaps (which is not always much, I start an empty bank and then see what I can program. Some instruments work really well with randomize, many don't. If I do use the randomize function I will set many control to ignore it as this will cause problems for thing like volume for example. Personally, and I mean for me only I do not like the randomize function unless it was worked in to the instrument and is meant to be part of it. If the instrument is complex enough many times it will just produce non-sense.

I added the Reaktor area back to my webpage. I hope someday that NI will learn to say that they are actaully listening to thier customers.

Maybe that's why they made EIXT2 available seperately

In part that is true and I in part agree with EW. I have found that I can end up wasting far to much time and not get anything done. Yet, I don't know if that is because I am spend so much time building that I always get distracted by some detail or if it Reaktor and the musicain.

I sit down to do music but this is what happens. I redo the GUI instead add snapshots etc. I never get around to the music.

That's outstanding! :tu:

BTW, I certainly understand the dilemma concerning time management. This is why I stayed away from development...maybe when I get older?
I've got nothing to sell...am I on the right site?

Yeah, I just check the (NI) board to see if this beauty was available. It is. So, thank you, very kindly! :D

The Reaktor dev community is a creative and progressive group, indeed! The ensembles of today are what users dreamed about a few years, ago. Quite honestly, the new Reaktor ensembles are influencing the way I think about creating music. When I was just a 10 year-old organist, I would have played with this stuff all day long and every day! Now, I'm a bit overloaded. However, I'm certainly glad that I picked up this tool. In my mind, NI invested in the development efforts and creativity of others, which was inevitable. You guys make the product, simply put.

Thanks I was happy with this GUI I hated the old one I had. (I did reget deleting Bernd Keil's knob however, I just love the knobs he made, but I needed to have it done by me 100%).

There are some audio samples on my webpage for it. For some reason they keep coming out really bad I don't know whats going on, but its with audicity or its the server, the wave file out of Reaktor sounds fine. None the less those are the samples for better or worse but not till death do us part.

Yo, so, '93...the answer to your question is this: Yes, I use Reaktor. Why? I use it because of people like you, simply put. :tu: :D
