Yea, I think your new company name will help it to "stand out" from the crowd. :hihi:

EDIT: Wow. I've got 21 plugins in that folder now. Is there a Guiness Book entry for fastest plug-in developer on the planet? :hail:
Well it's not as fast as it seems. I'm just going down the list and porting vsts of patches i've already created at some point in different modular environments. It really helps to have something already designed.
But it does cause new ideas as well. The OPTO design is brand new.

Ok that was pretty bad :)

How about "Eric's freakin plugs" for a name? Is that catchy enough, Will people will rush in with a name like that? :)
Actually, I think "Vieris" is as cool a product name as any, honestly.

Dude, I'm trying out EXP-1 right now, and wow! What a gem! I loaded this up and it instantly carved the kick and snare out of the drum bus! And I can easily tune the decay to allow less or more of the sustaining elements back in; this is one of your best yet, and will get massive play, as I tend to over-produce everything. ;)

Thanks x 1,000,00 - once again. :hail:

Good to hear..

Maybe I should rename it to over_produce_bitch_slap-1

Vieris would be pretty cool actually. I've used it for random things for years.

I'm telling ya: "Vieris"; very nice. :hihi:

Here are some sound examples of EXP-1, starting with very roomy drum kit:

01-CSR_Rocktest-NoEXP-1.mp3

02-CSR_Rocktest-EXP-1.mp3

03-CSR_Rocktest-EXP-1_stronger.mp3

I mean, really: who needs transient shapers?

Thats a great example. A/Bing 01 & 03 is like hearing a 80's vs a 2000's mix. The guitar separation is crazy as well.

Edit: how did you laydown these guitar tracks out of curiosity? Whats the chain?

I'd give another vote for "Vieris", catchy, yet simple and easy to remember. I guess i'll simply go with that.

Duh, if I wouldn't be stuck with projects for the engineering academy, I'd take my time and REALLY mess with all of your stuff. The people really seems to like it. Pity that it's Windows only, I'm sure some of my musician colleagues would definitely love to use them on their Mac.

Thanks, man! :D

My chain is really simple:

Fender Strat -> POD 2.0 (two seperate, distinct models) -> Studio Projects VTB1 -> some mild EQ cutting for mixing. That's it.

OT but... Wait, since when can you run two models parallel with the POD/GearBox? Unless that's a special feature of the POD and the GuitarPort can't do that.

Oh no, not parallel, and not Gearbox. This is POD 2.0 hardware, and I meant that's the signal path for one mono track. I then double with a different model.

Hi
I tried EXP1 in EXT2 (no, this is not a Haïku), and inserted as an insert efx, it seems to output a mono signal only : could anyone confirm this ?

It's is for sure a stereo plugin. Not sure why EXT2 would be any different.
I've tested it in Live, Reaper, & bidule..

The software of POD/GuitarPort and the UX series is always GearBox. But if you doubled it with a different amp, then it's understanable. I was just thinking "heck in parallel? Like with Amplitube? Doesn't work, never did".

Thanks for clearing that up.

Nah. I don't really do stereo guitar recordings or copying the same track. Like you said, doesn't work.

cool , that really takes the roomy sound from the drums. i have some old stuff with bad reverb on some synth stabs ,have to see if it fixes that ..
Out of interest- did you use the EXP on the whole mix or just the drums?

That was just on the drums, quickly slapped it on and adjusted the decay. #03 is how the EXP sounds straight-up.

I'd be curious to know if it "fixes" your stabs...
