There was a light drizzle that day and I thought it would be cool to have the drizzle sound in the background of the acoustic guitar recording. I opened my window before I hit record and I got more birds than drizzle, but it worked out in the end.A.M. Gold wrote:Ha, that's great. The birds joined in.Genetic_Junk wrote: An interesting thing about the acoustic guitar parts is that they have birds chirping in the background which were not artifically added in after the recording. I thought that contricbuted well to the aim of sculpting tranquility.

Was the barrel a mile in diameter? If so, that's a good source of rust.

It'll be quite a challenge to extract the gold and rust from that source.

Wow, you have quite a knack for creating really nice tension and tone. This reminds me of all the things I liked about the latest Nine Inch Nails stuff but it feels more natural.

Thanks for checking it out Justin.
The repetition of the tension release structure was inspired by The Microphones' "Mt Eerie" album. Like many, I find contented injected into such a structure to be aesthetically pleasing. Glad you enjoyed it.

I took that pic from my window.Genetic_Junk wrote:It'll be quite a challenge to extract the gold and rust from that source.
I was thinking it sucked up all the rust and gold in the immediate area, Something certainly cleaned my gold contacts from the connectors on my solar panels (now connected via wire nuts. Simple solution, if only temporary)
back on the off topic, did you bother listening to my latest "same old song"...now 120% sillier.

Freaking amazing
I can't get a good pic of it (crap camera) but tonight that same building has a projected pic of a GIANT swimmer on the north face (20+ story building) and the surrounding buildings has rippling water projected on them!!!
(the company is sponsoring the oly-em-pic swim trials in "da big 0"

Better let them know they have a water leak.
That actually sounds pretty cool.
