Watching the video is almost too painful...

Another one is Running up that hill with Kate Bush, incredible song

Much prefer the NIN version

"Moments of Pleasure" by Kate Bush. Michael Kamen's string arrangement is killer...adds a lot to the already strong emotion of the song.

“Somebody said to me, ‘But the Beatles were antimaterialistic.’ That’s a huge myth. John and I literally used to sit down and say, ‘Now, let’s write a swimming pool.’ ”

No idea whether it's really the most emotional song (probably not, but hey...):
"Let Love Rule" by Lenny Kravitz.
Also, the entire "Pop Pop" album of Rickie Lee Jones is almost making me cry.

Thinking about it, I really don't know. I've got several songs, all responsible for a highly emotional reaction, depending on the time I used to listen to them.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I generally don't find 'songs' 'moving' other than for nostalgic reasons, with the exception of obvious things like Johnny Cash singing Hurt, though simultaneously I don't much like the song. For the most part pop music doesn't have the harmonic depth to do anything for me, but I'm tired of Mozart's Requiem and ting like that. I guess Shubert's Ave Maria is still a bit nice. For nostalgic reasons Ollie & Jerry's There's No Stoppin' Us or whatever the correct title was is actually moving. As is that song from the Breakfast Club by Simple Minds. I didn't even see the Breakfast Club at the time, I would have been too young to have been interested but despite that when I see the film now it tends to kill me with nostalgia.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.
