Well, mono versions do use less CPU, if you're looking for a silver lining. I don't know if they've fixed this issue in Cubase 4.

Anyone with cubase 4? Does it still handle stereo FX in the same way?

Easier to handle it via groups than have twice as many plugs, methinks. After all, seems like the point of a lot these is to save time doing one's work, and not be so fussy.
The mono plugs use less resources. So, it's certainly not wasted effort offering a plug that can be matched to the type of channel it's being tied to. I always use the mono plugs, as I'm mostly using the mono audio channels.
I've got nothing to sell...am I on the right site?

Gates are widely overlooked tools. Unlike some this gate is designed to give clean fast attacks with drums/bass in mind. With the bonus of a side chain for those creative type.

Wicked! Gates are indeed overlooked, and too few to choose from (especially free!)

Rockin! Great gates are always welcome here!

Thank you.

Cheers.

What was the change?

Thanks for the gate mate ... I read it as GIMP-1 at first glance :hihi:

Yeah, he's a real "noize mate" alright. :hihi:

I realized a mathematical ratio for the attack & attack smooth can be mapped to function on a single knob. My goal with this gate is to get the fastest attack time i can. With this you have to deal with Zero-Crossing issues.

Long story short better handling of zero crossings. I apologize for my lack on communication skills. :)

No, that works for me. I just pretend to understand.

At tightest attacks and really short decay times I'm getting some weird "stereo-izing" effects when "Chan-link" is disabled. An essentially mono drum track is having hits thrown to the extreme left and right.
