SampleTank/SampleMoog Portamento Question

Can someone try this please?
Load a SampleMoog sound in SampleTank 2.5 - for example
1975 Taurus/7-Osc Stereo Sweep. Set Portamento to a couple of seconds in Legato Mode. Hit a low C and follow with a C 4 octaves higher. On my setup, the tone sweep stops one fifth below the high C. If I hit the high C alone, the note is correct. Can anyone reproduce the problem? I'm running on XP under Live 7. Thanks in advance.

Having the same problem, see also my topic here:

But unfortunately either response in this forum nor by IK tech support.
Best regards

That is a limitation of samples vs. virtual analog. Samples can only be stretched so high. It would be cool if there was some fancy sample switching mechanism inside that substituted and crossfaded as it went up but... a little tricky to do! The advantage of samples is that authentic character of the recorded sound. But portamento transposition is limited to 2-3 octaves depending.
