Some thoughts...
folderol - where's the speed? Lovely pad sound.
mluthala - feels quite slow, slow beat, slow vocals. I like the song itself.
patrick9 - feels hectic and fast paced. well done! Like the guitars lots.
steifentier - lovely track, great vocals, missed you! Cool distorted solo sound.
nikp2000 - nice little soothing song, the pad slows it down. not speed!
1-2-many - love the vocoder, lovely song and fits the theme.
beanpole - sounds like old Mudhoney, the various parts could be stitched/mixed together a bit smoother. And yes, more power in those drums!
chris walton - love the delay sound, fast guitar licks. Did you play the acoustic guitar?
cyrosis - feels fast in some parts, love everything about this. Top notch.
echo voodoo - beep beep, lovely vocals (the distorted stuff should be louder!). Nice track.
farlukar - Something threatening was approaching me fast, but it passed right by me and slowed down...what happened?
gag3 - fast guitars, awesome playing. smoking!
ixox - some speedy elements, but still doesn't feel fast to me. Nice flute work!
jack solium - that's some of the sickest grunting I've ever heard. Doesn't feel fast but makes me want to check my box of tapes to see if I still have Pestilence's Consuming Impulse lying around somewhere.
me109 - love your vocals, lovely song, great lyrics. Guarantueed top 10 stop.
mellotronaut - feels fast and restless, cool glitchy stuff. The ending sucks! heh
former pharaoh - that's pretty fast!
shrikantprabhu - can't detect much speed here. Sounds like the aftermath of a big battle, nice piece, ending is abrupt.
zombie queen - nice, love the snare rolls, great composition with lots going on. Sounds like the flea got away in the end.
psy-t - although it's the slow part of the song, I like the intro best. Nice track.
navij11 - that's some pretty sweet dnb, particularly like the bass sound (sampled?). I would've put in lots of ghost notes for more speed though.
laguna rising - nice instruments, good speed, solid track. It's mixed well, with plenty going on it doesn't feel too crowded.
max el belga - raw rock, surf & idian percussion. Lovely blend of stuff, especially like the guitar noises.
offthewall - very nice track, nice layering but not speed. Almost missed the penny whistle!
spirulence - great track for a fast pace videogame. totally speed.

Thanks! Nope, bass was not sampled! Synthesized it myself in FL, using 3xOsc, Blood Overdrive, Love Philter, and Waveshaper, then bounced and slicedcore wrote:Some thoughts...

Ghost sounds? That's a good idea! I'll look into those.

Max el Belga - Speed Limit 150 -> Some interesting sounds, nice energy (though, for you, it's almost calm and sedate
).
Laguna Rising - Germination -> Video-gamey sound and energy, Sonic the Hedgehog goes tropical? Great stuff.
offthewall - A Passing Jig -> Lovely jig. Doesn't come across as especially fast, but maybe that's because I can't properly imagine the accompanying dance.
forw -> That's not a submission, that's a comment. Pretty fast.
Navij11 - Deathwish! -> Nice intro. The bassline feels like it's sucking me down and holding me in place. Slight click at the end. Tech note: file name format incorrect.
spirulence - A Midsummer Night's Epically Fast Escapade -> Fast enough that you needed a breather in the middle. Good energy, nice sound.
t00nz - what happens at 480bpm? -> Nice idea to automate the BPM, but this particular result isn't especially musical - ends up sounding like a generator being fired up and shut down.
Jerru - College Teenage Confidential -> The snare seems to overwhelm the rest of the drums, feels odd to me. Otherwise, good energy, amusing lyrics, fun track.
donkey tugger - fast -> Nice buildup, cool track.
DeepEddieZilker - Adrenochrome -> Some interesting sounds, nice variation between slower lines and faster drums. BTW, in your post you could have said: "So fast that I didn't have time to name the file correctly."

Thanks for the feedback, Echo Voodoo.

Thanks for the feedback! Also, thank you for pointing out the name format problem: I just fixed it! I wouldn't want to get booted out, would I?Echo Voodoo wrote:Navij11 - Deathwish! -> Nice intro. Perfect then!
Good job on feedback.. I'll contribute some too.. the first page of submissions, for better and for worse:
former pharoah Funny idea, I like it for that.
psy - t thought the voice was a bit disturbing... didnt sit well with mix, high bpm but more wierd than speedy perhaps.
Cyrosis I like this.. didnt really suggest the theme particularly to me (18th century rainy rooftops etc).. but forgetting that, I enjoyed it as a nice musical piece.
beanpole Didnt really like the repeated lyrics, but was otherwise ok.. funny ending .. stop.
farlukar - twas ok, sounds like a demo tune but a bit unfocussed, maybe loses its way somewhere.
streifentier - great little track, lots of ideas in here and a good feel. A favourite.
Chris Walton Nicely recorded. The most 'together' sounding track up to here. Nice groove.
m_luhtala This actually feels like one that got away in the mix. Mixed differently, with clearer vocals and drums I think there is something a lot better in there..
Zombie Queen What's not to like? nice humour in this track.. maybe a bit 'too' free in places.. but great fun!
JacK_SoliuM excellent intro, personally think using voice for the rest of the track detracts.. but otherwise 1m of goodness.
core I like this too. Would like more instrument separation in the mix, but its just very off the wall and interesting.
mellotronaut Another 'like the instrumental but not the lyrics one' for me I'm afraid.. very abrupt start and end.
1-2-Many
great fun, nice vox.. nothing speedy here at all?!?! but totally forgiven for being so cool.
Edit: Corrected last review, was for 1-2-Many
