There are so many excellent synths and fx made with it :D
If it doesnt I'll have to consider jumping ship to SynthMaker..Its a much more active project..

SynthMaker has its unresolved issues as well - Some creations totally lock and crash my PC (Renegade for one). Given the choice I prefer SE over SM every time.
What host do you use?
I bought Renegade a few days ago and it works great here in Orion 7.5 :D

I'm well aware that Synthmaker has its problems...Its just that the synthmaker developers seem to be more active than jeff is.. A couple of examples being that they recently released a CM version of synthmaker and an FL Studio version too..

So I would imagine that synthmaker will progress faster in the long run..

Hi NextGen,
it is not possible to get the computer music magazine for me.
Do you plan to release a commercial version of the synth?

Do you have the beta version Gucky?

Post

Hi lotus2035,
yes I own the beta and I like it very much.
But the beta has not all parameter controls. For example some sounds use a sequencer. But there is now way to edit a sequencer line in the beta.
For that reason I would want to have a full version of Genesis.

Post

Gucky - see that "View Preset" line above the display showing the current Preset in the bottom centre? Well, it's a dropdown: click on it, change it to "View Sequencer", and edit away :)

Post

AFAIK - the only problem with the beta is the inoperable delay and reverb

Post

Wow, it sounds great!
It crashes chris waltons oversampler
It crashes with with multiple instances (known bug)
Some preset introduce bad aliasing...that why i tried it with the oversampler

I hope the next cm edition will fix it.

A commercial version would be great!

Thanks for your help. :-)
When I go to the "view sequencer" page I see now two lines with
on/off-buttons.
When I click on the buttons I hear that the sequencer line is changing.
But I don't understand how the the sequencer works.
How can I define the note and the length of a sound with it?

Post

Rather annoyingly the sequencer gives me the whole "undo parameter #xxx" problem with Live, which basically completely ruins the undo function. I think this is a recurring SE problem tho.

The sequencer of Genesis CM works a little bit different...
It triggers the filter "cutoff" and works with ADSR 3
there are 2 lines in the sequencer line 1 = osc1, line 2 = osc2

so when you have a new preset and you want to sequence it

1. be sure "decay" and "sustain" in the "amp" envelope is set to max
2. turn the filter(s)on and set it to "LP" and set "cutoff" to minimal
3. Turn the sequencer on in the dropdown menu "view preset"
3. set ADSR 3 to "flt seq" turn on the env amount in ADSR 3
now ADSR 3 controls your note length

Did you miss my question? Or purposefully avoiding the topic?
