What's the difference between RAW Universal Groove Kit and the Gold Edition?

The 15 packs?

This would probably be a fine companion to my Drumcore (still waiting for it though  ).

The 15 packs. So quite a bit! Go Gold. It's worth it.

FWIW soulata, I upgraded to the Gold Edition and never looked back.

Great collection. Mostly beats, but also instruments appropriate for each style covered. Truly something for everyone.

Guru is currently my loop player/slicer/masher of choice, and there really are infinite possibilities with this collection. I never feel like I don't have something I need. Interesting Djeumbe beats? Conga beats? Rock, Country, Hip Hop and Motown? All covered.

I think Esoundz still has a collection of demo beats up on the site. Check it out. All are very nicely produced and slide right into a mix with or without further treatment.

I think it was Recording Magazine that gave these a huge thumbs up in a review last month.

Hope that helps.

I think I might stick with the Universal Groove for the moment. Actually the gold looks great, but I want to save myself for what's coming.

This studio profiles concept looks like a dam about to burst at this point and I don't want to overcommit myself financially now only to find that I'm floating in a sea of awesome possibilities with no ability to take advantage.

At least with the Universal Groove Kit I've got a nice little base without much outlay - plenty of fun to be had.

And then I can make a better decision about the new Studio Profiles "wave" when it washes over me.
