If there is any stereo information at all it will detect it for sure & act like two independent gates. Thats what the unlink deactivates. if one side is activated and the other isn't you will hear a hard pan.

Yes, latest version, and yes, stray stereo information. Your explanation makes sense.

I like this gate. It's a different flavor from so many others, very on and off. Definitely find a space in the tool kit for it.

I'm not sure. I used to use these a lot back in my PC days, but they don't seem to be up on his site(s) anymore.

I haven't updated these in years now, I decided to retire them. Many others equally as good are currently available.
