Hi. I've just been trying different free compressors on EzDrummer and have found Camel Crusher to be my favorite (so far).

I noticed that this is a cut down of Camel Phat.

Ok my question - Is it worth me shelling out £54 on Camel Phat? Is it loads better for drum compression?

Compare your Camel Crusher to this image...

See all the extra controls, x/y pad etc.

Try the CamelPhat demo and you'll see it can do quite a bit more than Camel Crusher.

Ok just tried the demo of Camel Phat 3 on drums and am really impressed with this plugin! What I love about it the most is how easy it is to get much better sounds very quickly!

I will definately be getting this one soon!

Get Camel Space too. Great for drums; from subtle all the way to weird and wild!

Ya know... Its not great on just drums. :hihi:

I use CS a lot more than CP.. both are very versatile plugins.. I think I use them more on non-percussion instruments .. either way yeah work well together ('phaten' the sound then 'space' it or vice versa)

CamelPhat rules. Make sure you download the extra presets made by KVR intelligentsia; some great drum ones in there. :tu:

Cool thanks for the replies! I've also started using Camel Crusher on bass and am loving the results!

I've got a stack of freeware compressors including FFC-1, TLS 3127-LEA, TLS 2095 LA, Blockfish, Density, Classic Compressor and ReaComp. Camel Crusher is my favorite for using on EzDrummer and ManyBass. Looking forward to checking out what the full version of Camel Phat can can when I buy it sometime in the future!!

Are there any banks floating around the internets not on the official site?

Hmm. I don't think so.

Can't agree more with all opinions above. CamelSpace works great on Synths too!

Funny: that would be the first thing I would use CamelSpace on, not drums.
