Yeah i don't think XT2 will ever be the Modular tool that XT1 was and i don't think that is the direction of XT anymore to be honest

We still have XT1 though for modular stuff so it's not all bad although to be truthful XT1 isn't the best modular mangler anymore anyway

I would really love Jorgen to make enough money off the Behringer thing to be able to split the development into two so we could have a modular host again because to be honest it is the only thing that keeps me using XT now that my main hosts MIDI is geting better

I really love energy-xt. There are actually not a whole lot of features that I want that aren't already there in the beta.. punch in/out ranges are probably the biggest thing i would like to see. I read somewhere that you can just use the 'r' key during playback, but it's kind of hard to manually arm/unarm the track at the exact right time while you're trying to concentrate on playing an electric guitar.. It would also be very nice to clear the unused audio tracks with a single button, rather than weed through them and delete them one by one. Even shift-selecting to delete in bulk would be great by me... It'd also be nice to be able to turn on db numbers for the meters.. Also where did the clip boxes go that used to be on the meters? db peak numbers on the meters would be good too. I can't think of much else right now.. Great daw!

Could you give some examples of better modular manglers?

Agreed! It seems like the popularity of XT2 has been fueled in large part by Reaper users but it's only a matter of time before they won't require a separate midi app anymore.

Some sort of bug tracking integrated into ext2, ie. like a textfile that is generated during each session of ext2. If you crash go to the ext2 directory find the textfile and send to the team. Might make things go a little faster!

I'm using Art Teknika console inside XT2... mainly due to volume slider on each wire... When this feature will be availaible in XT2, I'll stop using Console...

Heh, some of us have been clamouring for this for years now. It makes so much sense from the modular mangling perspective that it's a real shame it's yet to make it in.

I'd love to see a feature like move selction in audio parts. pick a selection and drag it to where you want it in the audio part editor.
