Just thought I'd say that the new 1.12 receptor version works like a charm in linux via wine.

And it's all the same version actually. I just made the Receptor a .zip download so they don't need to go through the install process on a PC first just to extract the files they need.

That download also functions as a source for those who're afraid of .exe installers. I've seen some people on this board say they refuse to run them. Fair enough I guess, so here you go. But, do you not think the .dlls could do anything to you an .exe could? (They can. They run under the same security privilege level as your host. Usually "you".)

I substituted my korg controller and midisport 8x8 for an oxygen 8 with it's keystation driver. Prob still exists.

Excellent. So we've isolated that at least.

How are your video card drivers? Also, again, does this happen when the Poly-Ana editor GUI is closed, or only when it's open? And in which host(s)?

Still can't get your link above to work Barry. But I certainly believe you. And unfortunately, simply seeing it happen won't help much in debugging it (though it won't hurt)... but it doesn't necessarily mean I'll suddenly go "oh!" and instantly know what the problem is either.

I own eXT although I just had re-formatted my music pc so it just about bare.
I didn't want to install any 3rd party vst 'till this poly-ana prob was resolved.
I've tried it in 3 hosts and it does the same thing.I don't beleieve it has to do woth the host. I have a hunch it may have to with the threaded P4 processor.
I don't know what or how to check that. I have noticed while looking for the SSE2 in the BIOS...I don't see the switch anymore. I believe it was there before. I dloaded a freware prog that will show my SSE version.Still have to do that .

admiralquality (at) gmail.com would be best for trying to send large things.

But email typically isn't the best for sending large files (anything over 5 or 10 MB I'd say is iffy.)

What "same thing"? This is the first I've heard of any problem from daca since we fixed his bug.

I used to disable Hyperthreading on my old P4 but then the hosts got better at dealing with it. I don't believe there's any SSE2 option in anyone's BIOS.

You guys shouldn't be assuming there's SSE2 problems. But I'll send you a link to the SSE1 version if you want to try that Barry. (Daca, you're fine, right? What's all this SSE2 speculation about then? I'm confused.)

I did see the above post, and your sarcasm is not appreciated. So instead of having a face like a dropped pie, why don't you contribute constructively?

My "+1 for a Mac OS X version", was simply reinforcing several people's wishes to have a version for our beloved system.

Please let's not start this again. I'm not going to bother with a baby Mac, if I'm getting one I'm getting a top of the line one. Whatever the latest greatest biggest screen Mac Book Pro is this week. And when I was last pricing them about 6 months ago, they were $5000.

I just spent $1700 of money I don't actually have on a new Windows XP based DAW. Even that I only did because my 7 year old P4 finally died. It's going to be QUITE some time before I can consider a Mac.

And I don't do the pre-release sales thing. The best you'll get from me is when I have a product in Beta, when I discount the price significantly from the final price, exactly because people who got on board at that time were gambling that I'd finish the remaining features. (Which I of course have, and more.)

But to pay me the full price, then gamble that I'll even START? That's just too much I think.

So, I suppose if 50 Mac users want to get together, collect their $129.95s together in some pool, send it all to me, and be willing to never see results (if it goes poorly, if I'm run over by a truck, etc) then sure, I'll start this week. But I'm not in the habit of taking people's money for nothing.

Fair play to you, Mike. I hope that one day you will be able to receive a top-of-the-line Mac.

If and when the time comes that you have a beta OS X version available with the ability to pre-order at a discounted rate, rest assured, us OS X users would be all over it - as long as there would be an AU version of the plug-in of course.

I wish you every success with this product.

This all has nothing to do with Dacaumodo except that his tried to reproduce my problem.
The "same thing" meaning I get the same glitch in each of 3 hosts i've tried it in.

If you don't think I need to look at SSE I couldn't be happier about that.
