Thanks Dacaucodo !
I just installed v 1.13. No change.
Just for curiousity I tried the 2 key release trigger thing with more then just the few presets I found which did it.
Well...as I increment down the BASS list ... 7-8 presets in a row peaks my cpu.
Some hang notes also.
One preset which is a unison/last note acts normally!!!
The preset is BASS:Trampoline Bass. Why does this one sound right and the others do not?
EDIT: a note will hang if I hit 2 note at the same time.

Hmmm I can't seem to duplicate your issue here Annode. In Uni or Poly Uni Mode hitting and releasing two keys at once doesn't produce any glitch. Perhaps I'm not following the correct steps. Can you post a .pap preset file that cuases the glitch on your system so we can try it out?

Just tried Trampoline Bass and can't get it to glitch. Even tried hitting ten keys at once and releasing all at once. Am I following the steps correctly?

You say this only happens when you play by midi keyboard and not when sequenced notes are played?

The preset that I was using to get it to glitch was BASS:Serious Business.
I am making progress here. I discovered I can create pinned CPU by turning the "vel level" on "envelope 3" to a + or - level.
I am still at it trying to find what is responsible for note hangs.
These may be solutions or maybe just clues.
Yes...try serious business just as you are doing Teksonik. Thanks!!!
- and yes, only live playing.

Can't get Serious Business to glitch either. I tried hard, hitting two or mores at a time and releasing at the same time, playing madly as fast as I could up and down the board, changed the Env 3 Vel levels all over the place.
So if you play a couple of notes at the same time from your midi keyboard and release them at the same time your CPU spikes way up? But if you enter those same two notes in the sequencer, hit play then stop no spikes, correct?
That is weird. If you don't mind could you list your midi controller type, and drivers (USB or Standard Mid etc)? I don't own Cubase SX so I can't test there but I can test in FL Studio, Reaper, Orion and Energy XT. You can reproduce this behaviour in different hosts as well?

Hi Teksonik. Thanks a great deal for trying to get to glitch.
You were doing it right.
quote from above;
I see now that all the cpu pinning has to do with any of the 3 "vel levels".
If I send a signal to an envelope and turn it's velocity level away from zero/center,then two notes will shot the CPU up.
What i'm doing is just a work around you see...not a fix.
This shouldn't be happening. I still want a solution.
I can also make the notes stop hanging...but again...just avoiding some mod in a series of circuits.

I've tried two different keyboards with two different midi input devices with two different drivers with 3 different hosts.

Have you tried it with a different soundcard or buffer size?annode wrote:I've tried two different keyboards with two different midi input devices with two different drivers with 3 different hosts.
It might be on the audio end rather than the midi end.

I know what it is. Your screens are too old!
just a humorous touch. I know these things can be stressful, we put so much emotionally into these wonderful tools.
And you've got quite a few... nice toys!

That seems logical Mitch.I have my card at the slowest latency for testing.MitchK1989 wrote:Have you tried it with a different soundcard or buffer size?annode wrote:I've tried two different keyboards with two different midi input devices with two different drivers with 3 different hosts.

You see,I have never seen this in any CPU sucker synth I have or tried.
It could be in Mike's design...and he happened to design something that opens a can of worms in my PC that has never been touched before.
Nothing I can do about removing my RME hammerfall. But I will now look at this as a cause and see.
Thanks for that suggestion. You never know.

I'm just trying to help narrow things down so hopefully Mike can find a solution. He fixed my issue in just a couple of hours so if we give him enough information I'm confident he can and will find a solution for your issue.annode wrote:

That's cool Teksonik. I hope you didn't think I had some gripe about what your doing...i'm really happy to have some help!I'm just trying to help narrow things down so hopefully Mike can find a solution. Mitch suggested looking at my soundcard. Well I found a way to bypass it.
I used my ADAT 8 channel convertor and it also was driving the sync.
But to no avail. The synth still bangs my CPU.
I'm going to make an avi vid of this and post it.
Wait till you see this one!
