I was part of the GB and got my package last week. I went to install on my system (Windows XP pro, SP2, Core2 quad 2.4 Ghz, 4G RAM). Disk #1 installed no problem. Inserted disk #2 at prompt, and resumed installation. all of a sudden installation stopped. I had to eject disk and reboot computer. After reboot I tried to open disk in explore to double click on .exe file. I could read no content on the disk. :-o Tried another disk and could read it so
drive was OK.

I am guessing that maybe disk #2 was defective, and I would need to get a replacement disk from the company. Uninstall the content from the first disk.
Then start over with a fresh install of everything. To uninstall I would run DrumCore in demo mode (saving serial number)so that it will show up to be able to uninstall it.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Does it sound like I have the right plan?
:help: :help: :help:

Thanks,
Joe

I installed to a Raptor Hard drive ( very fast in case your arent a techy sort). Even with a Raptor there were times I thought the install had actually stopped. I knew it was slow since there are so many files and takes up 2 DVD's so i just waited. It finally fininshed.

What does explorer show when you right click the DVD and examine properties?
Size ?

Yes I know what you mean! It did take a long while, but I didn't stop it in
error. What I mean by no file content on the disk is that I put the disk in the drive, open explore, click on the drive and no files appear . The only thing that happens is a message telling me to insert a disk, but there is already one in there :( .

I have tried other disks and the files showed up, so drive is OK.

I'd email Support at Submersible. Sounds like they shipped a blank. Sorry I didnt read closer.

Seems odd that it took a while for Disk2 to produce the error but...

Good luck!

I don't think they shipped a blank but some of the media has problems with some machines for mysterious reasons. Usually sending you another disc solves it and they'll do that at no charge if you have a problem with disc #2. A few (but not many) cases have been noticed on this so please contact them. If you prefer to contact esoundz because that's where you bought it from then that's fine too of course but all Allen is going to do is contact Submersible for you... so you might as well speed up the process and cut out the extra step. Either is fine though.

Thanks for the support dachilles, but squids has shed some new light.
I actually had to double click the .exe file on disk #2 to resume installation, so there was content on the disk at the start of things.
Thats what had me so twisted. I started the disk, it ran a bit, then
the drive made a loud noise and the install stopped. Afterward there was no damage to the drive but the disk content was gone. :o WOW!!

Anyway Tech Support at Submersible was very cool about it and two new disks are comming by FedEx. Hey Squids, support seems to say that its OK to just run the two new disks and complete the installation. Is there no need to uninstall or delete my disk #1 files from my computer? Or will this software
recognize its own files (not creating doubles) and just add what is needed?
Do you know the right way to go?
