ECCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! stop the press's! Hold the horses!
Squids did come up with a deal for those of us that have the 2 Ik plugs but want the Loops?

Where? What ? How much? I already have a very good reverb and T racks but would love the bargain on the sonic reality loops.

Answer fast some one....

Your note about your purchase reminded me to pick up Crazy Drumming today, so you're already offsetting the cost.
Thanks, man! Hope you like'em :)

It was $199 for loops alone. That was an outstanding deal, given that they were $149 each and I was going to go for it. But for the next couple hours the loops bundle and the GB are the same price. If you don't have CSR, you should consider clicking into the GB. I think you'll be glad you did. If not, just ebay the plugs, which is what I plan to do.

You should have received your ST2.5 serial number by mail from esoundz.
- Open an account at IK Multimedia, if you haven't done that yet.
- Register your ST2.5 using your serial number
- Download ST2.5 in the IK user area

If you feel like it, you can refer telebunke at check-out. This will give both of us $5 in epointz.
What else would be cool? Visit me at www.soundclick.com/wewritesongs and listen to my stuff.
Hi Telebunke,

Many thanks for your reply cos .... now I suspect that something might have gone wrong indeed at Esoundz (cant be sure though cos Im on holydays so that I dont have access to all my mails)

Afaik I never got an ST2.5 serial by Esoundz and after I registrered Sonik Synth 2 at Ik I didnt saw any other DL or product available.

Ok its not urgent. I'll check all this when I'll be back home. Thanks again for describing the usual process.

And sorry for the Epointz, I was already enroled in the current GB when I posted this so that the points went to another Kvr mate.

Next time

Hmm, I think I got cornfused after all those GBs. :o
I'm not sure anymore about what was included in the Sonic Synth2 GB. Was a ST2.5 included? And what was the precise name of the GB? Was it "Sonik Tank 2.5 Group Buy"?
For the Sonic Tank GB, I think we were able to choose between the SonicSynth engine or the St2.5 engine, but not both.
Or maybe you are talking abo the "SampleTank Rare and Vintage Bundle" GB? That one did include a ST2.5 IIRC.

P.S.: don't worry about the referral: I'm sure the other KVR-mate deserved a referral, too.

Here's an example of our coolness on these things. Since you guys managed to get the GB to $199 (well done!) we lowered the price of the SOUNDS ONLY pack to $179 on sale for a few weeks. What's even cooler is that if you bought that SOUNDS ONLY "Rock & Soul Bundle" at $199 already we're giving you $25 in epointz back. So you get even more back than the difference in price to the sale price now. Nice huh? Can't lose with us. We got your back.

LOL Squids you cover all the bases. Thanks for the prompt response!

One last question. Will the Drumcore add on Packs be available as downloads or strictly as Software with shipping??

Luis Conte appeals to my Carlos Santana side ;).

With all respect, that's your problem. If you could simply see what others have been patiently or impatiently trying to explain to you, then you'd understand.

This thread exists to answer questions and promote the buy AS A GROUP. You refuse to understand that this is not merely a transaction between you and esoundz. It's a group effort to drive down the price on a package squids has worked to put together for us, usually convincing other skeptical vendors to participate. We have a financial stake in these GBs and work to our mutual benefit.

Instead, you don't simply ask questions, you consistently attack the deal in the most negative ways with emotionally charged language. And when the group reacts, you call them (us) fanboys. It isn't your questions, but the way you conduct yourself that could drive potential group members away--the exact opposite of our goal. As a result, no one here particularly cares whether or not you click in, since the difficulty you create beforehand simply isn't worth it. Even early on, when I didn't think I'd participate in this one, I still acknowledged it was a great deal.

If you could understand that one thing--that we are all working together for our common benefit, I really think you'd get it. Honestly, after all this time the thing I'm wondering is whether you truly don't get the simple concept of a group buy or if you are intentionally being disruptive. If it's the latter, shame on you. If it's the former, I hope this explanation is helpful.

Right now, it seems you want to be independent. But we want to be part of the group. If so, go be independent and make your best deal by yourself with any other vendor you choose. Problem solved.

Available as downloads this month (July). Not sure the exact date but probably more toward the end of the month.

By the way guys it looks like your downloads will be in your esoundz user areas today. Enjoy! Expect an email with your codes for the IK plugs by tomorrow. Not bad delivery time huh? We're working on it.

I've been really proud of myself with this one - I don't need it, so I'm not signing up. I really have to stop spending money on this stuff, I've already got T-racks EQ, don't use drum loops much, and I've got a couple of good enough reverbs.

Just one more day to hold out, and I've done it - stared temptation in the face and walked away.

Gah! I'm no. 206, I'm so weak! :help: :D

I got flamed for being negative, so I stopped what was explained to me as being negative. Did that stop people saying any post I made after responding to the group's concern was STILL negative, even when it was no longer? Nope! Now that's just plain mistreating me at that point. I heard you people. Ok!

So then the complain switched from my being negative, to just being disruptive. What's that defined as? Somebody complaining about me for being negative when I wasn't anymore. So what's up with that?

I was the only person that pushed for the price drop. We got it. Did it help the group? Nobody has the guts to admit that it most certainly did. I'm not just out for myself. I join these GB's. I'm in with the rest of the group. This is my 4th one now. It's a little hard to have fun when people so enjoy using me as a target for flame-throwers. It's come to that. Just knee-jerk non-thinking. Read my posts that got called "disruptive". There's a link Squids provided on the member's page of eSoundz. I talk about how the GB is marketed and how people behave. I'm a marketing analyst. Take it or leave it what I say. Hit the mute button if you want. It's your choice.

If I can get the price dropped on any future GB's, and if being negative and disruptive pulls that off, man, I sure hope to be both those things. I think a price drop helps the group enormously. If you can't see that, well, that's blindness.

No foolin'! Me too--and a highly paid one at that. Based on my experience, I think I'll leave what you say.

Looks like my either/or guess was wrong, you are both intentionally disruptive AND you don't get the simple concept of a group buy. Silly me.

This is my last post on the matter.

Post

It seems that the concept of a group buy is to hyper-hype the value of the package, the quality of the items in the package, and praise praise praise every single thing about the owner of the company doing the GB, the people working for him, the people helping him, etc.

I come at this a bit differently, and thoughtfully. KVR was a forum for musicians to talk openly about music-related topics. At what point did KVR membership become interpreted as members working only for the interests of a company and their GB and any individual thoughts should be censored for the good of the group? That's never been the concept of KVR as long as I've followed it. If things have changed, and a member now has to answer to the control of his or her posts to owners of companies that hawk their wares on KVR, well then, if that has happened, KVR has really sold out.

I don't think it has though. I think people here just have forgotten that this is a forum for musicians, not salemen for companies. We should be able to speak our minds. I just share my opinion on things. If you don't agree, don't agree, but to flame me, that's out of line. On KVR, a musician should be able to post that he thinks a GB is over-priced, and not be denounced as negative or disruptive. We have opinions like this everywhere else on KVR posted, without problem.

Hehhee the mute button works.

I wonder if we cant get a Boot button for the next GB for use on difficult people that cant grasp basic issues and only promote their own personal problems?

Marketing? Arent those the people that come up with the ideas for the REAL LOUD commercials that sell carpet? LAST WEEK : GOING OUT OF BUSINESS! CRAZY DEALS..
