You should have received your ST2.5 serial number by mail from esoundz.
- Open an account at IK Multimedia, if you haven't done that yet.
- Register your ST2.5 using your serial number
- Download ST2.5 in the IK user area

If you feel like it, you can refer telebunke at check-out. This will give both of us $5 in epointz.
What else would be cool? Visit me at www.soundclick.com/wewritesongs and listen to my stuff.
Hi Telebunke,

Many thanks for your reply cos .... now I suspect that something might have gone wrong indeed at Esoundz (cant be sure though cos Im on holydays so that I dont have access to all my mails)

Afaik I never got an ST2.5 serial by Esoundz and after I registrered Sonik Synth 2 at Ik I didnt saw any other DL or product available.

Ok its not urgent. I'll check all this when I'll be back home. Thanks again for describing the usual process.

And sorry for the Epointz, I was already enroled in the current GB when I posted this so that the points went to another Kvr mate.

Next time

Hmm, I think I got cornfused after all those GBs. :o
I'm not sure anymore about what was included in the Sonic Synth2 GB. Was a ST2.5 included? And what was the precise name of the GB? Was it "Sonik Tank 2.5 Group Buy"?
For the Sonic Tank GB, I think we were able to choose between the SonicSynth engine or the St2.5 engine, but not both.
Or maybe you are talking abo the "SampleTank Rare and Vintage Bundle" GB? That one did include a ST2.5 IIRC.

P.S.: don't worry about the referral: I'm sure the other KVR-mate deserved a referral, too.
Cant remember the name of the GB but it was the one two months ago about Sonik Synths and these nice Sonik Capsules and the Sample Tank engine only was included but its ok I'll fix that when I'll be back home.

Like I said its not very urgent :)

Thx for the help Telebunke

You should all shut up and bow to my greatness, and realize I AM THE REASON FOR EVERYTHING. That is all. I thought those who were muting missed the pompous attitude. I am the great marketing genius, lowerer of prices and possessor of the humongous wang.

OK, carry on... /vent :)

Hi Heavensdaw,

Yesssss it was that one :tu: I've been very slow to install all the stuff too because I was waiting to change my net Pc before doing so.

Thx for confirming Sample Tank 2.5 was included  . Will avoid me to get buried in archeological researchs in group buy threads :)

And sorry for the date, wasn't aware it was so back in time :?

Anyhow, the current GB was a success. It was either the price or the negativity and disruption. Whatever it was, it did the trick.

On to the next GB. I'm already pumped for it.

Over and over again.

And again you keep posting it over and over and over again (that would be the negative and disruptive part).

And then you point fingers. And then the product sucks. And then you tell everyone to BEWARE of the group buy. And then you accuse Squids, who answered all of your innane questions with lengthy and informative posts, of lacking integrity. In my opinion, you insulted Squids and eSoundz numerous times over the past couple of weeks, and you are continuing to do so by interpreting everybody's response to YOU as being some kind of eSoundz conspiracy. That is simply ain't so. The issue is simply your attitude.

But I don't think you get it. :?
calex wrote:If you don't agree, don't agree, but to flame me, that's out of line.
Who's really out of line here? Get a friggin' grip... you've been begging for flames.

I'd say your reputation is shot here. Even if you were on your best behavior from now on, whenever we see your name we just think "trouble". My advice to you is that you should probably get a new user name and try to approach us with a totally different personality next time around. See if you can pull it off and stay incognito. 8)

I would encourage you to try and learn from this experience. Is it really possible that we're all wrong and you're the only one who is right?

If I was just so freak'in negative about this GB, why did I join it? It wasn't cheap. I was over this stuff a long time ago. Get over it folks. The GB was a success. On to the next one. Calex will be there, pumped!

Post

Edit: Long-winded fanning of the flames is SO not worth it, but however you slice it people ARE going to be turned away from one of the very best ways to promote group buys - the threads here.

Well, we've had this company forum for about 7 years now. In fact, it was the second company forum ever on KVR! That's how freakin' long we've been doing this. The "people just like to flame" thing doesn't apply because I haven't seen anything like this in all this time. Never before have I seen so many people "mute" anyone which to us IS a sign... and not a good one I'm afraid. At a certain point it is only logical that one might look to themselves and think "maybe there IS something to their reaction to me" rather than just ignore it and think it is everyone else's issue.

Bottom line though is that if someone is disrupting business in our company forum or in our marketplace threads then we will moderate accordingly. I think we were fairly lenient in this group buy, choosing just to move the thread to our forum and moderate more heavily instead of banning. But, that was really an unfortunate sacrifice that no one appreciated either. So, we're going to be more strict about this in the future.

Just decided to join this GB also. I have a need for a good reverb plugin (hopefully CSR will fit the bill) but had serious doubts about T-racks being useful for me because I have a good collection of quality plugins already (and I've heard T-racks is a bit long in the tooth already). I'm not sure the loops are so much needed either but wanted to give them a try. I take this as a great opportunity to demo the concept of multitrack REX-loops (keeping future purchases in mind), so far I've been satisfied with stereo only. The referral went to AlEebee this time. :)

I think you'd find that the idea that posts to the GB thread being the basis of the GB joining is not reality. Most of the GB participation comes from having the GB advertised by being in the active forum list. Couple that with all the posting in OTHER forums all over the web. After that, it's just price and product. The idea that a company or marketplace thread filled with enthusiastic support is what sells these GB's. I don't think that's proved to be true. Throughout all sorts of "disruption" directed at me, the GB just kept racking up the joiners. 215 already. The night is still young.

Post

I FOUND esoundz group buys (and KVR) through a post on the Cubase forum. No offense to the OP (Telebunke I believe) but there's no way I would have bought solely on the merit of a 3-reply post on that forum. I came here, had to get some reassurance that it wasn't B.S., that esoundz was cool and good to do business with (y'know perhaps their integrity wasn't regularly questioned which would likely have cast a shadow of a doubt for a newb here and to esoundz and all that, for example) and I had my share of beefs (ok, like TWO) with Squids & Co and settled them for the most part and where appropriate outside of a GB thread and found that the long threads here established the credibility of esoundz to me. Maybe I'm the minority. Doubt it.

We need Darkstar's patented statistical methods to come up with percentages of the buy being from folks who read and/or particpated in the GB thread on KVR. :) Just saying, we should all put ourselves in the shoes of someone who is new to KVR who may not even register but will establish an opinion of the GB and esoundz by what happens in the GB thread. At least spare them the piss-ant fighting (marking my own words as lesson learned for later).

Post

I was going to join this GB on the condition that I sold my existing T-racks licence to make up some of the cost...couldnt get a buyer though so I'll pass...
CSR was the only thing I wanted anyway...
I'll get it again sometime.. Squids and IK have a habit of knocking out interesting promotions/deals..
Maybe a 2 for 1 deal or a similar GB will surface again in a few months.. 8)

Squids et al I apologise. I can't stop myself rising to this particular bait.

First off. I did not join this GB simply because I had other non-music priorities having recently been in other GB's, buying addtional ST2 sounds (from ESoundz) and I've also upgraded my DAW in the last week to something that finally makes me think that I've now got a pretty good set up.

However, since I got involved with this community, I feel like I'm browsing in an incredibly friendly shop where the owner is always looking to help (and is good for a joke). And the rest of the browsers/shoppers are ready for a chat and always willing to advise. And because of that vibe, I'll always be back - sometimes looking and often buying.

Calex - You bring that whole vibe down. You don't chat. You pontificate. You don't advise. You pontificate. And after you dragged us away from the more public and accessible market forum, you managed about 2 mock-humble posts before you pontificated some more.

I don't want to "mute" you. Why should I need to? I don't want Squids to ban you from the Sonic forum. Why should he need to? I don't want to feel that every time I see your name on the list that there's going to be some more attention seeking BS.

To the rest of you, sorry again. This was a much longer post than I intended.

Greg
