I'm just now starting to use a sampler. I purchased the SampleTank 2.5 group buy, and so that's clearly my intended platform.

SO now I'm looking at the Studio Profiles downloads after caving in and buying the new package on June 30, and I have REX, Appleloops, and WAV as choices.

What will give me the smoothest, most problem-free results?

To import into SampleTank? You can do some cool things with it that way. Import each loop and put it onto its own part and save it back as a combi. I suggest using the Waves.

We actually have an in-house Rex to ST converter so we could think about converting the rexes to ST as slices and make those available if there was interest. They'd have the separate midi files to play them as well. If anyone wants to test drive that concept we can take the free multitrack grooves we have on line right now at www.esoundz.com/freesoundz.php and put them into SampleTank this way and let you guys have those too so you can play around and let us know if you want more. The great thing about it is that you have all of those built-in effects in ST to play with on individual channels of the groove.

I'd love to try the loops in ST. Even better, how about letting us test drive the REX to ST converter?

You seem surprised I'm using Sampletank. What are my options?
