Actually, I think IK is hosting downlodable versions (same stuff but several downloads of a gig or so each. So when you register you will be able to DOWNLOAD the other.

Not sure if you can download BOTH though...I don't think so. Boxed and then other is download. But you can ask Allen and he can look into it.

We need some sort of IK trading hub.. these deals are all awesome, but the mix and match never seems to line up!! Usually I've either got one or more of the products already or don't really want one of them.
I know some of the people in these great GBs have all kinds of doubles and triples of IK products sitting in their IK user areas and the $50 transfer fee from IK makes it very hard to get any money back to put towards something else.
For example this new guitar fx bundle is sweet as hell, but it will cost me $100 to transfer the AT2 and ATJimi licenses which really eats into the asking price for "used" software.
Not really bitching, but just moaning.. anybody have any idea of a good way to leverage something out of an ST engine and AT Jimi?
Not to be a dick but I'm aware of how they mostly equate to being freebies in the long run etc.etc I'm mostly just talking for the sake of it.

Just think of it as a discount from what you DO keep. i.e. If you buy Sample Tron/Moog and sell Sample Tron for $100 after the fee or whatever, that's just a $100 discount on Sample Moog. The $50 fee is really not costing you anything. But I know what you mean. It would be nice if you could get it unregistered.

Agreed... although in some cases this does work out..ie if you buy a product you don't own and get one you already own as a freebie, you can register just the one you want and sell the other as unregistered which saves you the $50 (because you still get the serial #.. you just don't officially register it).
This is allowed according to the IK FAQ .
It all depends on the terms of the sale.. in my case I chose Amplitube 2 as a freebie when I bought Jimi Hendrix so I had to register both, whereas if it was the other way around, I could have just registered AT2 and got a serial for Jimi but not actually registered it.
Since it was an AT Jimi Hendrix promotion I totally understand the way it worked out.
Again, I'm not complianing, but talking about how an awesome deal fell just short of mind-blowing

I've just confirmed that the freebie, the other one from the one you get, will be a download. It's split into 600mb X 18 parts and has its own installer. A bit to download maybe but... faster than shipping and cheaper.
