But that doesn't matter. If the wishes of the creator are to not distribute it, then that's what people should follow. You may not agree, but that's just the way that it is. Free stuff carries a license just like any commercial product.nick2008 wrote:IT WAS ORIGINALLY FOR FREE -ALL WHO DOWNLOAD IT WAS FREEEEE-

Sorry for bumping such an old topic, but I need to know. When will this be released?

I believe that Guido said he refused to work on it ever again, and gave up in frustration.jobromedia wrote:Sorry for bumping such an old topic, but I need to know. When will this be released?
I, personally, am playing around with it today and can't seem to get it to sound how it used to playing it with my EWI.

I never saw him say that. I hope it isn't true. It's a hard problem, but he came closer to a useful PM sax solution than anyone else has so far, much, much better than Arturia and more playable than the Harm Visser stuff for Tassman.runagate wrote:I believe that Guido said he refused to work on it ever again, and gave up in frustration.jobromedia wrote:Sorry for bumping such an old topic, but I need to know. I'm sorry to say I checked back and he said it more than once - that he's not only not working on it but will provide no more copies to anyone.
Which gives me hope that he's just waiting for time to make some special breakthrough.
I know that the overtone series of the saxophone, because the internal shape of the bore is not parallel to the outside (it tapers), is the most complex of any of the standard instruments one might actually have heard of. And the "jazz" mouthpiece is such a ridiculously expressive thing so unlike the other woodwinds (at least the Western orchestral ones, built to emphasize ease of hitting the right pitch and staying there - Indian and Pakistani oboes I've owned had no such problems)...
I bought a $7 contact mic from myspace.com/pelzwik to tape to my throat or to my EWI to "hum" in FM "growl"
Sax-O-Phunk is the quietest VSTi I have I think.
