this happens more often than I'd like to admit: I set up a set in Live with weird sig paths, strange routings, audio clips with odd clip envelopes (linked and unlinked), etc. and then just start playing and stuff happens. A lot of times, I never know what will come out from under my (sometimes fat) fingers. This is the result of one of those incidents that started out as an experimental session with using the vocoding options in DtBlkFxS, then things got out of control
(the result of my "using the vocoding options in DtBlkFxS" is the weird intermittent rhythmic burbling you hear thru out: the drum loop is being vocoded against the chordal ep line. DrDevice and CamelSpace were used in that particular signal path as well)

self-indulgent? yeah. probably, but I do hope ya enjoy!

My my, that is dreamy! Nice touch on the epiano, groovy drum track and those delays kill me. You did real good!

The sound design in this is unbelievably pleasant. You should be fiercely proud of this piece. An automatic Blortblort hit. This will end up playing in my car ....loud.
Yea, the delay work just adds another dimension to this piece.

thanks fellas! helps ta get a little feedback as I really try to be cautious when messing about with tunes that I really really like... but like I said this one happened and I kinda liked the way it turned out (fat fingers in a couple places but what the feh?

)

I'd just like to point out that I own the copyright to the genre which involves "writing a song by experimenting with dtblkfx's vocoder's setting and a ginormous signal chain of dsp with parameter automation" - I bet you can't find that thread here!

Aside from the sound design, which obviously I love, that's some maestoso epiano funk! ill! illbient! ill and bent! Neil Young wrote one hell of a melody that day, huh? Very, very nice.

Have you considered laying down a vocal track? Personally, I think its screaming for one.

This really is a sweet tune !
It gets richer and richer on the course and the sounds are great !
A good thing is you don't hear obviously the complexity and the number of plugins and sound modules ... get to the point

I played in a blues band called "Out Of The Blue" ... so it must have been cool

Very interesting track indeed. Whats your 'singing voice' like? If you think its not so good, why not consider a collaboration with a fellow KVR'er?
