Hey!

Spent about 2 months on this, smoked a lot..., changed bassline about 3 times and... you been there, right?

I was not focusing on any genre at all, my finish point was to have slowly moving beat with bass, some kind of chill track, but i decided to change that to more complex thing with faster beat and distorted bassline. So i tweaked and twisted the whole thing again and again, bounced, tweaked, bounced, tweaked and so on..........

Please take a listen and tell me what you think about it, any kind of feedback is always welcome!

Your stuff is always solid. This is no exception. Some big sounds and it all unravels smoothly. There's a sound on the snare that has a almost harmonic quality, but it seems a little out of tune with the rest of the song. Nothing wrong with that, just thought I would point it out as it can be a little distracting until the second half of the song where it fits in a little more comfortably.
Fun and funky. Would be great to hear a turntablist on this track.

pretty cool stuff. My only comment is why the rhythm section is so far forward and the melody in back? Usually it is just the opposite. No biggie.

Thanks for feedback!
The thing about the snare, i think i made a mistake when i started compressing everything and adding effects with half finished arrangement, so my melody got in the middle and snare out of tune and i didn't noticed it.
Thanks for pointing this out, but i think to leave it there because when i tried to tune it right, it didn't sound like this is the place where it like to be

And i always wanted to make something against the "arrangement rules".
Now that i broke those rules, my next track will be dj friendly

Very nice dubby work. love the bongos and the dripping liquid bass.

The bass has some heavy resonant frequencies below 250hz or so, it's not bad 'cause it's typical of this style of tune but it stood out to my ears.

Doesn't really fit the chill bill for me but throw some Eminem vox and you have a hit rap tune.
Solid is a good way to describe this. Very creative use of the synthy sounds.

Wel i never worked with vocals so it's not my teritory at all, but if someone would like to remix it - i will give everything what is needed to do it.

I found myself using mostly Ableton plugins for this track, and i think they are very good. The bassline was made with EX-096 VSTi. Everything else was layered so many times with different sound processors, bounced to disk and processed again, so i can't realy tell "hey i made it with that VST"

For mixing i used URS EQ's and Compressors...

I can share remix files, if someone is interested.
